If a reviewer said that I would be pretty certain that he has never played a Soul's type of game since you are continually saving as you advance through the game.
Since there is no initial difficulty setting in any Soul's type of game you always have the option of leveling your stats as well as improving your weapons and armor. You can always get NPC's and if you have online access getting online help as well.
You could try doing that in Skyrim at the start of the game although you would have to be an exceptional player to get past the fist fight. I actually start off in expert mode and only increase the difficulty in the later stages of the game.
I never reduce the difficulty setting and if I find a game with a difficulty level/slider is too hard then I will restart the game with a difficulty level I can just manage. Reducing the difficulty on the fly is a kind of a cheat which...
I do agree that TW3 on Death March is the best way to play the game otherwise the game gets very repetitious since you have a tendency to just use your weapons on the easier modes rather than make use of your armor, potions and magic.
If you play TW3 on "Blood and Broken Bones" or "Death March" you can actually get additional quests. Just answer that all characters that you are asked about during the "interview" prior to visiting the Emperor ar...
The Souls games and Bloodborne or any RPG for that matter allow you to customize your character to the way you like to play. The problem is you have to know what you want since your selection of attributes affect the way you play your character.
@Featuring_Dante
Yes, I do know you were being sarcastic.
A good shield and decent stamina is a good way to approach playing a Souls game but if you play Bloodborne a shield (you can get one) is...
@SoulMikeY
Played Zelda 1 including the new game plus, Zelda 2 (the last boss was interesting), Zelda 3 (pretty much Zelda 1 with better graphics), Ocarina of Time and Windwaker so I am not stranger to Zelda games.
At the moment I have no real interest in the Switch as it seems to be more of the same thing that turned me off the Wii and WiiU. I do like the Zelda games but one game is not attractive enough to make me purchase a Switch. Even Mario and Pokem...
If you are willing to do a simple search so called "cards' are not a fast as many people like to believe.
Taking micro SD cards (size is irrelevant in this case) as an example you will get performances varying from less than 25MB/sec to over 250MB/sec reads (associated with loading) with the better performance costing significantly more.
Now compare those SD performances with Solid State Disks which have on average 480MB/sec writes and 500MB/sec ...
It is not so much the size of the game in MegaBytes or even in GigaBytes, it's the enjoyment you get out of playing the game although I won't deny that modern game sizes (especially AAA) are increasing.
Using the game "The Witcher 3" as an example. The base game is around 50GB and that is with the latest patches. If you add in the two add-ons then the total size of the game including patches is around 70GB. All up gameplay wise (assuming you like that type...
Patching software does not necessarily increase the overall software size all that should occur is the replacement of older software modules (ie. libraries) with newer ones. Of course, that is assuming that the software developer has written their code to facilitate patching.
Not removing old binaries after patching is poor programming practice.
How about Solitaire? That game must be way more popular than Tetris and it can be played electronically or manually.
Actually, the best game is the one you like not necessarily what everyone else likes.
Let's be fair here "Until Dawn" is not remotely like Zelda.
If you wish to compare to a game like Zelda which is of the Action/Adventure RPG genres then compare it against games that are similar.
A mild criticism here but when you start a new sentence the first letter is always a capital. 😉
You also forgot that games on the Switch will be dearer (approx 15% to 20%) compared to their PS4 and XB1 equivalents due to the Switch requiring cartridges which are needed if you have a portable device. Don't believe me then just go to your favorite gaming store and check out the prices.
I am not sure of equivalent digital download prices but depending on the number of games and their sizes you may find that 32GB is not enough which will require you to purchase a dece...
I have to agree but unfortunately, some gamers (I am using this term loosely here) just want instant gratification and not put any effort into actually playing the game so they look for cheats and shortcuts just to stoke their ego.
What is really amazing is that those people that do look for cheats and shortcuts prior to even starting the game and especially a single player game are actually cheating themselves but of course, these people can't see or understand this.

You can buy the optional expansion packs "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood & Wine" separately but it is cheaper to buy the season pass which includes both expansions. So instead of a 51GB game, you now end you with a 70GB game and an additional 30 to 80 hours of gameplay.
As "NukaCola" said "CD Projekt Red" also gave away "16 free pieces of DLC and five patches that have improved the gameplay performance".
...
Sounds good until you ask the questions.
1) Is the game any good (any company can make promises)?
2) What does the season pass promise?
Unfortunately, I do have to agree with you.
The problem is that developers and publishers do see a larger return on game purchases if they hide stuff behind a paywall that IMHO should be included in the game. Yes, I am well aware of the saying "Well it is my money" but this attitude actually spoils it for players who are willing to put some effort into playing the game.
Then again these people who are willing to spend money on what is either &q...
Season passes and DLC are fine if you know up front what you are purchasing but for some games, season passes are just vague promises.
What I don't like is in-game currency that you can actually purchase with real money. As an example, you can look at COD Infinite Warfare, Grand Theft Auto, Let it Die (MMO), Neverwinter (MMO) and FIFA just to name a few. This sort of thing actually caters to the impatience and/or casual player.
The GameCube disk can only store 1.5GB so you could easily fit well over 45 GameCube games on a 64GB micro. The problem is you will have to buy the GameCube games either on cartridges or by digital download. I somehow can't see Nintendo allowing you to get the game for free or minimal cost if you have the original GameCube game.
Of course, if Nintendo only sells remastered and enhanced GameCube games then they will most likely be bigger than 1.5GB. Still, you can get qu...
Two million for a worldwide launch is just not enough so there will be shortages and those shortages won't be helped by scalpers.
But, But! People have now hacked the console so Nintendo has decided to pull the plug since we can't have those dastardly pirates using the NES Mini for non-sanctioned games.
It's a pity that no one told Nintendo that you can get NES, SNES, N64 and even Gamecube emulators legally that can run on pretty much any machine and operating system. Of course, it is not acceptable to download the roms which in the case of the NES are usually less than 0.5MB in size and for t...
Nintendo has a habit of making sure that the prices of their games remain at a higher price for much longer than the games on both Microsoft's and Sony's offerings. In time they will drop but very slowly.
