What the hell are you talking about repeating that line over and over in your comments? Do you really not get that this seemingly “double standard” is more because MS and Spencer talk up 4K 60fps on XSX as if it’s the main differentiator between them and Sony. Xbox fans ate it up. Now we’re seeing more and more games confirmed 30 on XSX.
Actually kinda funny. Sad, but funny.
I don’t think Sony PR are shouting “4K 60fps!” From the roof tops every time they mention PS5.
It not a big deal, but vindicates those who roll their eyes at the line MS was trying to sell with the XSX. And the fans that insisted the “huge” power difference would mean 60fps on Xbox where PS will only be capable of 30.
Agreed. Destiny at least looked like it had some next gen polish. Halo looked like something that could easily run today on 1X, and not even max it out.
Also with you on Everwild looking great. I’m interested in that one. Avowed might be nice too but want to see some actual gameplay. Looks like it could just be a Skyrim knockoff. Which may or may not be all that bad...
For me personally, Fable is a system seller. Seeing that the trailer was a mere teaser means it’s not coming for a while. Bummer.
Guess I’m still planning to go PS5 at launch... Although, none of the day one launch exclusives from either side have me hyped. Both still have some cards left to show so I’m praying one of em gives me something I’m dying to sink my teeth into the moment the next gen drops.
I agree with akurtz. Likely to downgrade shadows, lighting and rtx elements.
Textures arent going to really have that big of a hit, especially with 16gb ram and a ssd.
Developers set the frame rates, not consoles. Any console I’m aware of can display 60fps.
I’m with you though. I really wish more games would give up a little bit of the extra flashy effects to provide a rock solid smooth frame rate.
70 but for longer...
”Popularity is not bias“
Thank you for pointing that out. Too often people claiming bias are just straight up salty that their side isn’t being represented or isn’t the one getting the spotlight.
And it’s not just gaming, add in politics, religion, any topic where people draw identity from...
I think Xbox is the one cited as the first console with an internal HDD
Could be paid marketing, could be that they’re genuinely impressed. Time will tell.
To me logic dictates that if Sony felt a standard ssd alone was good enough to bring next gen quality, they would have done so and put the extra budget into the gpu like MS. They must have felt there was something more to gain going this route. It wasn’t an arbitrary decision.
Bots are just faster at getting their scores posted than actual humans playing through the entire game I guess...
Ha! “ pushing for LBGT to max”
Yeah, I really hated all those side quests where you had to convert the straights to gay and have a bunch of gay sex while crossdressing.
Oh wait... are you talking about a few cut scenes where two girls kiss and act like they’re in a loving, mature relationship?
If you have a problem with the new social norms, that’s on you. Why the hell do you care if game writers choose acknowledge that same sex couple ...
4 million copies sold launch week and high scores by the more reputable review sites = series ruined... Got it.
Sorry this work of art didn’t fit your one-dimensional world view.
Hahaha, I’ve always felt horrible for losing all interest in RDR2 after 20hrs or so. I really wanted to get into it more but just couldn’t. Same with Zelda BoTW
Agreed with TLOU2 though, played daily until I beat it and still wished there had been more.
Some people just aren’t deep thinkers. Seems like there are plenty of people who played but aren’t accustomed to putting aside previous biases and actually trying to understand another side’s motives. Even when spoon-fed them.
It’s like they just see Joel and Ellie good - Abby BAD - set in stone. Even after her history is presented. In reality, The uncomfortable truth is Joel drew first blood at the end of TLOU1 and the consequences caught up with him.

@game-ur
“ she even encouraged her father to do the deadly operation on Elli.”
I’m not going to spoil anything, but I assume you haven’t completed the game yet? This is not a valid argument to demonize Abby.
Once you understand the full narrative the Abby hate subsides. For most ppl anyway.
“Unimportant cameo dude” shows up throughout the entire game right up to the credits pretty much. Pretty disingenuous to use the words unimportant and cameo to describe him. He’s the central figure for the events that play out in part 2, but not the main subject.
Sorry some people can’t accept that fact...
It’s great to see this sort of thing. Even the competition realizes this game is something special.
I just feel bad for those who haven’t played it but want to jump on the hate bandwagon or those who have that can’t look past their own prejudices or preconceptions to see it for the brilliant experience it is.
It’s important to keep in mind that this is all taking place in a lawless “society” where survival in many instances relies on kill or be killed.
Morality in this fictional world should be looked at with that context. It is more tribal. There is no more collective “humanity” in this fictional world, just “us” and “them” tribes. Revenge is a primal response that fits perfectly in a world where there’s little else to lose.
You hit it on the head! Pure BS blaming covid and remote work. By this stage of development, everyone on the team should have a good idea what their role is and how to perform it, and what tasks are remaining.
It makes no difference if your sitting at your desk at the corporate office or home office. I work in web development and operations at a large company, so I’ve gone through the transition myself. I actually feel more productive because there aren’t as many distractio...
