@trinity and LNDcalling, the ps2 was always the worst of that gen simply because it had no gpu so it had to do everything though software, show me any ps2 game with multipass rendering like the dreamcast xbox or gamecube had not one ps2 game had bumpmapping or normal maps.
LNDcalling don't worry as soon as the next gen appears it will drag pc gaming with it, its not worth the big budgets just to target a small number of hardcore pc gamers with the best rig but as the next...
@hellraiser it depends on the ram they want to use look at the difference in price bettween the edram they used last time and the main memory if ram price were not an issue it would have all been ed ram
football trash or not when EA decides against putting one of its biggest selling fanchises on the vita the future looks bleak when you consider it wouldnt be that hard to convert reuseing all the games assets from the other versions.
All nintendo need to do is put a camera on the back and make a horror augmented reality game with stuff jumping out around your own house to win over the skeptics.
all those games we nothing compared to how technically amazing star strike 3d 2 was back when the star wars arcade game was wire frame only, and castle master too even though it was a bit slow and miles better on the ST/ Amega it was still a technical feat.
@cannon I'm not loaded i have a good job but i also have a family, im glad i bought an xbox 360 at launch and skiped the Ps3, i got a year of HD gaming without a pc and when tbe Ps3 came out all of the games were worse than the 360 for a good year or so,
This time i will wait for both to launch seeing as they are so close together with there launches and go with the console with the most power whatever it is
@fatgayandbald why would the ps4 have direct x support when direct x is ms owned they would be breaking copywrite laws if the did try to use it.
you cant compair expensive cartidge production to a disk based format there is a massive difference in production costs dont forget in the same era you still had games on floppy disk which were much cheeper and games on tape if you go back even earlier that i used to buy for £1.99.
The same was apple sells music to the kids with point/itunes cards.
Ms have all your account details on all the games you have played ms could very easly give you any physical media back, and you already own a360 to play your original games anyway
Going all digital doesnt mean no store presents ms has already started selling download codes at most shops and stores would prefer it as it takes up less space and wouldnt be stuck with any left over stock if they sold cards like apple and ms points
+ bubbles for coryok
@coryok hdd prices are peanuts per gb now so storage wont be a prob, they would save money on not fittin a blu ray drive or paying roylaties to sony, and they would save on disk pressing and printing costs etc,
It would actually be less of a risk for retailers as they would know how much each week they could sell with points cards rather than having unsold stock like they can have with games
Exactly sonic was a very lazy conversion
Or more money in the bank to risk on and original game.
I was thinking the other day of what game would make a good remake and i came up with 'how to be a compleate b@$t@d' on the spectum would make a great psn/live game,
It was about trying to ruin a party by upsetting everyone and sabatarging everything.
Apple and google android do ok with all digital distrobution and sell lots of hardware through retail, game retailers will die out eventually like music only retailers are at the moment .
Valve are sucessful in there own right and shouldn,t bother with hardware in the same way google do with phones but it doesnt mean it cant be done, i'd be suprided if microsoft bother with a disk format next get and keep retailers happy with points to buy downloads
Thats because its voted for by the public you should vote if you want to make a difference to the result
At gaming 101, there a a few car combat games, blur had car combat mario cart games, and the wipeout games too personally i dont like car combat but car/bike fighti.g like f-zeroX on the gamecube or road rage are great fun
Your right live is limited in this way i think if they relaxed the dlc charges alittle there would be alot more free dlc from publishers, and the only way we could get an mmo would be from ms themselves.
thats because games on a PC have to run on multiple speced machines just think if you bult the game on the best rig and lock the game at 720 p and 30 fps how good you could make the graphics. Everythings a
a trade off and pc's are being held back at the mo by consoles which is why all you get extra on a PC is slightly better graphics and much better framerates and resolutions
