Steam has a hell of alot of subscribers and therefore alot of influence over other devs, and even ps4 games will be in a form of linux so they may as well do a linux pc version for the 50 odd million steam users
So if your pc games ran much faster with linux like they clearly do and valve converted most pc game to run linux would you convert too or stick to windows and get a system full of bloatware
99% of games are better waiting for release and just shopping around for the best deal, but there are exceptions with limited edt.
Bet you don't sell it for a profit, wish i had a ps3 for this game
It looks like a PGR game.
Loved vandel hearts on the ps1 didn't even realise there were more.
Can't wait for watchdogs on the Atari 2600.
@dubt72 and if it launched on the same day as the 360 it wouldn't have had bluray either at the end of the day if you look how fast gpu tech moves it should have battered the 360 but instead they had to work around it with the cell.
I bet it will be later in the year as an upgraded version that will also launch with the 720/ps4 seeing as they are close in specs to high end pcs.
But they wont say anything yet as it will take sales away from the ps3/360 versions.
I think the opposite, the stuff I keep hearing about the new xbox is putting me off, as sony seems to be more focused on gaming, if I want all the multimedia stuff I have my phone of tablet, if I want to game I turn on my console
Thanks godchild have a bubble.
Ha ha ha the ear of luigi.xxx
I loved my 3DO road rash, and need for speed, I felt alot more ripped off with my CD32.
Ha ha i read it wrong twice.
Most consoles have sold at a loss and made the money back later on, it usally take about 2 years before they make a profit.
Look at the kindle fire as another example, sold at a loss made money though apps and ads.
20 odd million bought a kinect including me, MS has shot themselves in the foot by downgrading it at the last minute when they took the processors out of it which i bet made a difference to the accuracy.
I don't like the sound of alot of MS's multi tasking either, if i want to play a game i want to focus on that and all this stuff sounds like they will end up with another windows vista
If thats really the case how do you explain that most multiplats sell better on the 360
I found morrowind overwhelming so easy to get lost, but thats the only game i think, it was just the lack of a decent map that through me
The other things to take into consideration is that the new xbox has 256bit bus from the ram and nearly everything in ram will be compressed and decompressed on the fly by the gpu and move engines, and GDR5 ram has higher latencey than DDR3 ram so the new xbox may have faster ram access.
It will probably better at open world games as it will all be precompressed from hdd/blu to ram.
Also loading times will be faster and AA will be less stressfull on the gpu
Because of thing like the move engines and the compression/decompression chips in the gpu if you don't program with this compression you would lose what these chip were designed to do.
I don't understand all the disagrees how can anyone not think hug me will be anything but a casual game/app.
I'm betting it will some along the lines of a new eyepet for sonys new camera
