Muramasa: The Demon Blade is in 2D. Yet, still looks great (like Odin's Sphere). Okami wasn't in fully immersive 3D but it's considered one of the most beautiful games ever made. Twilight Princess was panned for it's lackluster graphics - and many people got irate if any publication awarded it less than a 9 out of 10. Pokemon looked, looks and will probably forever look horrible but still sells by the boatloads.
Of course, Final Fantasy X and XII, Crisis Core: FFVII and Kingdom H...
Makes me remember the wise words I received when my Golden Sun: The Lost Age saves were suddenly erased 20 hours into the game -
SUX 2 BE U.
Helpfully provided by the kind folk on the GameFaqs forums. Ah, to be back in 2003 again. :D
I read it. And I agree on what you said. I'll approve it as a Contributor because it follows all guidelines and such. It being lame is a matter of opinion - one i don't share, so whatever.
But still, this topic is old and suffered greater beatings than the Headless Horseman's big dead horse. :D
Edit: Any one else wanna invite amateur insults at their competency as a Contributor? Approve now! Because that's basically why no one wants to. If that answers any of your q...
Why Uwe Boll keeps adapting video games into movies
Why powerful nations bully smaller ones
and why people fall in love.
Simply put: People don't need reasons for doing stupid things. :P
At least it tries to acknowledge what most people actually do when buying a console: taking into account what they want in terms of games and features like home entertainment and online play. Though he does mention "The Playstation Network is just as go...
The author is happy to hear that...and currently trying to kill himself via a wooden spoon for forgetting Persona 2, Alundra, etc. But it's fun to watch, so how could we stop him? :D
Dino Crisis 2 was also a great game. Good evolution from the standard RE formula of the original into a more DMC-like shoot fest.
Actually, the old REs were as much about shooting as the new ones are about running and saving ammo. But then, that was one of the old-school charms of the franchise. Which is why a re-release wouldn't be a waste at all.
My colleague welcome your comment - as soon as he awakens from his stomach poison, caffeine induced stupor augmented by typing so much to meet a fast dead line (read: his requirement for 4 hours of sleep). :D
And yes, bring back XenoGears already!
I'm curious about Legend of Dragoon. Many people say it's a great RPG but several reviews say it had too many random battles and some issues with the battle system.
Edit: Lol. Just realized he forgot Persona 2...
Most PSN games have trophies but those are the brand new titles like Quest for Booty and Warhawk. Now...re-released PS1 titles? Not that I've heard of.
Einhander (and several other games on the list) are conspicuous for their being released only in Japan. And as good a 3D-2d hybrid shooter it was, RayStorm was probably the perfect overhead shooter. Sigh...Japan has both and the rest of the world has neither. :(
Brave Fencer Musashi
Cyberbots
Bushido Blade 1 and 2
Gran Turismo 1 and 2
Sigh...simply too many requests. Though it's great to see Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD. :D
You know who'd make an impossible end-boss? The Sentry. He's psychologically screwed up enough, so you don't have to give him any real imperative for wanting to fight every one. And you could just say that he poses too much of a threat to be flying around, all delusional, hence every one has to stop him. :)
His second form could be The Void. Goes well with the "exorcise the darkness" part of the story.
They seriously haven't done that! Wouldn't be such a bad idea to make a list of crossovers we'd like to see. :D
Let's see:
1. Capcom and Guilty Gear
2. Marvel and King of Fighters
3. Tatsunoko and Marvel :P
4. Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. xD
5. Marvel and DC (edit :P)
Who would win in a fight between PTX-40A and Golden Lightan? Haven't seen any footage of the two fighting any where. :(
Brothers in Arms seems to be the WWII reinventor now. Not that it bother Treyarch or Infinity Ward - but if MoH has nothing new to bring to the table in that battle, why not just move on?
And yeah, Call of Duty 3 was just...blargh. :(
Many of MoH's previous experiences were hampered by their stupid hooks on the same goddamn war. Agreed it would be cool to see what MoH looks like in a whole other battle - but as skeptical as I was for CoD4's shift, so shall I be for MoH's.
Awesome senses....overloading....canno t, handle, all the awesome...O_O
But seriously, that would make a very interesting crossover. Though, with the enormous number of gameplay differences, it'd be tough finding a common meeting ground between the two.
They might have modified Ryu to include some new moves. As such, there's no radical difference between the 3 in MvC2 (unlike, say, Street Fighter III or IV). Maybe they wanted to carefully balance the styles and fighters included as they did when including Alex.
And as easy Yami is in Okami, he would be a real jerk here. This is a Capcom fighting game after all. :P
Won't be getting it regardless? lol. Ravi has a Dreamcast with a GD-ROM of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 that he won't let die, even after having it for the past 5 years.
I should know. He won't stop challenging me and annihilating my team of Iron Man, Cable and War Machine with Rogue with the phrase, "Run projectile wusses! RUN!". >:[
That's how they roll. ;)
Seriously though, I some times wonder why Nintendo even keeps us in the loop any more when it's so entranced with the casual (read: Wii Fit) cashcow...er, easy money...er, audience? Yeah. Okay. There we go.
