Good point, but look at your tense. "Threw". Past tense. The PS3 has caught up in a big way - so much as to actually outsell the Wii in the September NPD report.
That said, this is the same game that millions of dedicated fans enjoy, and MS knows how to market it's crack. It may not draw many new fans to the series at the rate it's going, or innovate past it's track record, but pretty sure that's not what the devs wanted in the first place.
I'm pretty sure that every FPS game needs to have weapons, maps, story and gameplay elements to be liked these days. :P
Also, it's not been stated whether the X-Engine is being used for this game. Or much less if it officially exists.
@paul:
I haven't played it, but approved this story since it didn't conflict with the guidelines. And Dualshockers is hardly some "no-name blog". If you love the game so much, and truly believe it deserves the credit it gets, then you won't try to censor any negative opinions that come up about it, no matter how "Lame" they may be.
Um...I like chocolate. :)
Unlike the first Modern Warfare (and World at War), Modern Warfare 2 is shooting for a more Hollywoodish experience. Die Hard is referenced in the above article, along with Reservoir Dogs. Do either of those strike us as realistic? Grisly, maybe but not realistic. But nonetheless enjoyable. Too much realism is not really essential in that case.
Mirroring the real behaviour of citizens when faced at gun-point - there's really no need for the nuances, those rare occassions of that...
I've heard what he's had to say for a while now. At a time, I even defended his (and every one's right) to express an opinion. But this is getting so stupid, it's sad. Granted, it's no where near the times he flooded N4G with his crap on a daily basis but for HHG, journalism and analysis take a back seat to baseless speculation and benign flamebaiting.
Oh, and in case you haven't heard this famous quote:
"First they came for the communists, and I did not speak o...
1. No, you did it because you want attention (besides the obvious conclusion that you cannot count).
2. Look who's on your show? What does it matter? You're still incapable of forming a plausible opinion. Or do you want to explain your low contributer rank by playing the racism card?
3. I love to hate you. Please, oh please, include me in your sick little fan club. Whatever makes you stop sniffing glue.
4. How about instead of telling us to wait, you jus...
Don't forget Perfect Dark: Zero and Grabbed by the Ghoulies. It's sad, but Rare was at a time one of the most forward-thinking and fun developers out there. And if Kameo 2 looked this intriguing, I'd definitely be hyped about it. Regardless, since it was cancelled about 2 years ago, this just must be another foot note in MS's production diary - along with the closures of FASA and Digital Anvil.
A very well written article about the hypocrisies of female gamer stereo-types, along with a description of said stereotypes. Notable line reacting to private forums on the Xbox community for female gamers:
"Please don't give me the old debates of how females are harassed, All genders/sexualities and species are harassed, the strong ones stand up and can with intelligent conversation overcome any verbal abuse. This segregation must stop."
Once more, very n...
(Shamelessly admits)
It was awesome. I love the slow and steady pacing to it. THIS is how you build a horrific atmosphere and is a perfect anti-thesis to RE5's "mob 'em" style of survival horror. Simply amazing.
Or coffee girl! In which case, he must have left with a smile.

@sky007:
Logic wasn't the first thing that came to my mind on hearing his asinine statement. -.-;;;
Have you not heard of contracts? Especially the ones that say, "If x does such and such amount of business, you receive an increment of y percent"?
Okay, it may not be so cut and dry. But almost any freelancer either works for a flat rate or goes for a discounted price but is entitled to benefits later should the property succeed financially.
That seems to be exactly the case. As such it'd be a good idea to find a studio and stay put, but the adventure of moving from one stream to another seems to be his fancy. Especially since Curious Pictures specializes in so many other things besides game cinematics. It seems that where ever the project interests him, he'll be there.
Awful like your lack of bubbles and sanity?
I doubt Bungie or any other game dev will call a game that took a year to develop and sold more than 2 million copies in one day a flop. Money talks for developers and publishers, especially ones like MS.
Um, or maybe the different studios wanted the best and didn't mind hiring him on?
One of my best friends called me a scoundrel on the internet. How classy.
Edit: My mistake. Seems he called me a repulsive specimen of the human species. Which I believe is what a scoundrel is, all said and done. Double classy. >:(
But by giving them structural reinforcement, it aids in their realism.

I was also kind of hoping that if there were ever a moment in the game where you had to work concurrently with the other Spartans, the game could employ a Republic Commando style command system. Since this squad does some insane stuff in the novel Fall of Reach, many unique commands could be issued depending on the environment.
That'd be pretty cool, and something I sorely wished ODST could have incorporated, even it were directly lifted from Republic Commando.
