You have to wonder though - if he has all this time to post stuff, when exactly is he actually working? I'm sure he's spending his time in the office too, but the rate which he tracks and responds to all internet news regarding him is alarmingly quick.
He does post a lot on his blog. More posts a week than other devs contribute in a month.
Maybe it's just me but I don't really get why people were expecting a UT4. The third one flopped on all 3 platforms, not counting the bugs it experienced. While Gears 3 is the obvious choice, it'd be nice if they announced a new IP for all major platforms (especially PC gamers - Epic has pretty much left them out in the cold since Gears-mania began).
Epic fans means people into Unreal, Gears of War, Shadow Complex...well, not that there's much choice aside from those. Unreal has already been eliminated, and if it's not Gears (and I highly doubt they'd throw away this E3 by showcasing another XBLA release, though Shadow Complex is a great game), then it'd definitely have to be a new IP.
My money is on the survivor horror project they've been denying. It has to keep coming up for a reason - just like all those times Sony denied...
A good point. They only released Shadow Complex last year (which in itself was an XBLA release), and if they've been busy with a new title since then, you can bet it revolves around their most staunchest benefactor, Microsoft Game Studios. Still, I'm hoping they can provide some quality gaming on the PS3 and PC if this in fact does turn out to be a wholly different game from any discussed till now.
I doubt it's the Gears movie, since he specifically stated that they'd be showing a new game soon and that E3 would exciting for fans (so, logically, that new game would be shown at E3). Still, it's good to know the Gears movie is still alive. But, er, would any one really want their mom to see it (like Capps does)? o.O
Eh. There were rumours that since Epic has only a two game exclusive deal with Microsoft, that they'd bring Gears of War 3 to the PS3 when it ended. However, that rumour was quashed some time back when it was announced that we may not see Gears 3 until the next generation. Anyway, for now at least, Gears 1 and 2 are exclusive to 360/PC and 360 respectively.
Indeed. Hmmm...
At best, it would've probably been called Halo 4. :P
Well, they're apparently recruiting an "incredible team" to decide the future of Halo. And they're scouting at this year's GDC. Goes to show they want experienced people. So that could be a good thing.
Should I...should I feel better knowing Bungie approved my story? D:
Bungie also made some really good games like Myth. It seems the strategy of fine tuning features and listening to their fans came in handy for the development strategies, which often earned them the title of fan favourite developer (along with Bioware). After Reach is out, I also hope they continue in vain.
Does not say anywhere that Sony made Haze; just that they should be in charge of a reboot.
And it very clearly says: "Factor 5 tried to prove they could break out from their Star Wars fixation with this medieval launch title." They made Lair. That fact is clear. But that Sony should reboot it is the main idea.
I find it hard to believe that the same people who complain and say Sony should've handled the PS3 port of Bayonetta suddenly find it horrendous that...
Does that mean we have to fight you for that honour? I'm just saying. There must be due process involved and what not. :)
Sequels are all well and good, but i find it odd how something like a remake for FFVII is becoming so much an issue. Yes, that has sequels and prequels as well, but when it should be a relatively simple task to just go with what the fans want, SE fumbles. Because they know that they can milk their fans for all their worth by releasing these spin offs.
As to Sony, I don't suspect they should have this many hang-ups about remaking games.
As for Uncharted, Killzone 2 an...
Agree with 4 of the above, don't really know about the others since I haven't had a chance to play them on PC. But God was Resident Evil 4 a mess. There was nothing done to the controls whatsoever to make them accessible to the PC crowd. And that's excluding the use of the mouse to aim the gun.
Hm, a very good point. That would explain the cutscenes in Mass Effect 2 which featured the custom costumes. Actually, those would be part of the gameplay then, right? There was some times a loading interval after the cutscene finished but right before I could move around again (it wasn't experienced that much though).
Hey Hyrius, if you want to be a douche bag and report every one of my articles just because we're a blog, why don't you read the guidelines first? Go stomp on some one else's sand castle in the meantime. (This guy is stalking me, I swear)
Lol. Nah man. This was concept art for Killzone 2. Though, yeah. It's still odd to see art for Visari as a child, given how old he is in the game but there are lots and lots of assets for the title that GG didn't use for the game like showing what civilian Helghan look like. They even did some of the scenarios differently like the destruction of the New Sun.
Though, it would be cool to travel back and forth, strangling Visari as an adult before roshamboing him as a child. :D
"What's in the box?!" :D
