It's also misleading:
1. Starcraft III? Er. There's a Starcraft II, yes, but no SCIII.
2. Starcraft II has been in development since 2003. That's hardly a decade till now, and won't be even on the game's release. FFXIII was announced at E3 2006, so we can similarly place the dev time at about 2004 or 2005 (though the latter seems more plausible, given how they were making FFXII the entire time).
For a site called PS3 Informer, it certainly tells you a lo...
And here I thought people would make a big fuss over Modern Warfare 2 being more fun than Bayonetta. Fiction really is stranger than truth.
1. We didn't play the demo. We played the full game.
2. It's about the bizareness of the game, and how even though it's fun, it wasn't quite as fun for the reviewer as AC2 or even MW2.
Yahoo is basically talking about how the PS3 controller does not have rechargeable AA batteries like it's competitors, so when it dies, you have to essentially buy a new one. This is not to say it'll die as soon as you buy it, of course. So essentially they're b*tching about the controller.
Now, this site interprets that as showing a bias against the PS3, and that Yahoo is infested with PS3 fanboys. Forget that games are only a small part of Yahoo as a whole - nope, they're all b...
Eh. It's an interesting thing, but will go unnoticed unless one stops to think about it. It's a shame Cal-141 (the female Spartan) had to die though. :(
And somehow, we, as ordinary gamers with no experience in tactics or combat, are supposed to stand a chance. :|
Activision = Cuckoo?
Agreed, E3 is too soon for all this. God of War 3 will be releasing just a few months before the show, so it's too soon to show anything. That said, Sony can definitely tease something in the offering for the next year or subsequent shows thereafter.
The brutality will definitely be there, but the chance of branching out into other genres is also a strong possibility. Well, that is, if it really is a spin-off of God of War.
Which would commercially be the safest bet (and allow them to take certain liberties creatively. Like ODST, only fun and done right). It'd be interesting to see a spin-off on the Titans, or even one featuring the original God of War, Ares, before he bit the bullet. Time will tell.
lol
But seriously, this chick does not make a good Aeris. :|
But it says "unannounced title" and not "unannounced IP" in that guy's profile. Smells fishy, to say the least.
Antagonize much? :P
But but, I did! And then you left me! Without a word! ;__;
Without...even...one...WORD.. .. (breaks down)
(deep breath)
Oh my god, it's Bobby Kotick!
Bobby! Why won't the nightmares stop, Bobby?? ;__;
Yeah. No offense reintype, but there are some pretty awesome stories to be had on the PC as well.
The Longest Journey and it's sequel, Dreamfall; Grim Fandango; Planescape Torment - even more recent games like Half Life 2 and Portal (though they're also on consoles).
One game whose story is currently on my mind is Star Wars: Republic Commando. On the outset, it didn't seem to have a very deep story, but when you actually got through an entire campaign (that is, finis...
@TheKonspiracy: Or! Arsenal Gear. ;)
@reintype: Hmmm. That WOULD be a very interesting combo. Noriko's moves are more poetic and misandry-ish while Krato's moves are more brutal and full of raw power. Would be an interesting team up indeed. Maybe Sony could manage it, since Heavenly Sword is still property of SCE.
Would probably cause people to attempt to drill through the heavens looking for their next fix :D
(Gurren Lagann reference FTW)
Metal Gear Solid 4 and God of War 3. There ya go, that's 2. :)
Half-Life, Doom, Quake, Timesplitters, Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament...ringing any bells?
So what? The Wii is still selling the most, phasing out hardcore gamers from it's system and replacing them with soccer moms, grand parents, families and whatnot, which outnumber both PS3 and 360 hardcore gamers combined (casual customers exist on those two as well, but the Wii consists of almost nothing but).
It's like in Land of the Dead/Dawn of the Dead. Sure the humans were smarter (better?) than the zombies but that doesn't change the fact that the zombies were in the majori...
