Every dev has arguments with his bosses, no matter what studio you go to.
The question on every one's lips these days, in mind of the FFvsXIII going to 360 controversy, is: Did he win?
We may whine about SE for their Western dealings and the new ideas they've come up with, but it's been translating into sales.
Sure it sold more on PS3 than 360, but SE is only looking at how much Final Fantasy XIII sold in total. So those, say, 1.6 mil for 360 (don't know the exact figure), which may not be enough, are compensated by the more positive sales on the PS3. In a way, they're using PS3 gamers as a leverage (because they're looking at overall sa...
Hey, this is a great article idea. Next, let's compare Duke Nukem 3D to the original Medal of Honour. Or Serious Sam 1 to Call of Duty 1. Or Painkiller to Modern Warfare. :-/
Seriously, why so serious for hits that you need to make lame articles like this?
"Who cares? It looks fantastic on both consoles!!!"
Hypocrite.
"Beloved"? Does he hate N4G too? Or does the hierarchy have further ranks?
Dude, phenomenal idea! I'll tell my buddy on Gametrailers to get right on it (seriously).
By the gods, is this what qualifies as an article heading these days? Pathetic.
Yeah, they definitely failed the Wii.
Getting a console into dozens of millions of households. Getting motion gaming out before everyone else. Having the cheapest console on the market.
Yeah, shame on them. They should just go back to the old days when their competitors were selling more than them, and their consoles were being lambasted for more legitimate reasons than this bilge in article form.
GamesOnSmash.
Flamebait.
Typical.
Cliche.
Tedious.

Silencio.
@disagrees - Shame on you if you don't know what 'silencio' is in reference to. Diane is crying her heart out right now.
Just got back from an Alan Wake launch event (in India). It's a good game - the mechanics are interesting, the exploration is good though linear, the puzzle solving is good and the combat can be intense at times. However, it's also slow-paced, has lame dialogue and characters and the story though intriguing at times, drags at others.
If you already have Splinter Cell Conviction, sure, pick up Wake. But if you had to choose between the two, I'd recommend getting Co...
@VileAndVicious:
Actually, I felt that way about all my characters in Mass Effect 2. :P
I want to hear the truth but I prefer not having shoved down my throat again and again and again. One person did a comparison. Two more did it. All confirmed the same thing. Great. I'd like some different news now.
Everything else you say is essentially anti-PS3 fanboy ranting, which I care even less about than these comparison stories. RDR is a great game, no matter what system it's on. Focus on that if you're a real gamer.
@Hill: Sooooo original. Why South Park hasn'thired you for your skills as a comedian is beyond me. /s
"WTF is this guy talking about?"
It's been more than a year and a half, and people are still asking this question about HHG. If that's not a mark of journalistic credo, I don't know what is.
Yawn. Got any other non-Sony pandering opinions and show names you didn't blatantly steal from the WWE, HHG?
Didn't think so.
Beat that dead horse into paste, pump that well even if it's dry, bleed every single stone you can find - yeah, that's the point. :P
@BeaArthur: Just let him fade into non-existence. He's only got two bubbles left anyway.
@Xiphos: It'll bite them in the arse sooner or later. Just like when they introduced the source filter the first time. Granted, it didn't help much but it at least showed that the amount of flamebait on the site was getting out of hand and warranted some action.
@saimcheeda, @bjornbear: At least some of the sadder people on here provide some truly hilarious c...
A very good point. Looking at those NPD numbers for March, you can see that while FFXIII sold twice as much on the PS3 as 360, Bad Company 2, an FPS, sold twice as much on the 360 as it did on PS3.
The writing is very clear: RPG gamers are more in number on PS3 while Shooter gamers are more in number on 360.
Also, this article is nothing but reactionary flamebait.
The sky is blue.
Uh, not the best example.
Remember this travesty?
Edit: Ah, okay. It wasn't so much Christian Bale's fault really - as you said, he fit really well as an easy to relate to and still bad-ass actor for this role - as much as the director. The whole thing was like one big music video without any sense of direction or subtlety.
