the ram timing vs speed thing is a question i'd wondered about for ages, and i'd read alot of conflicting things on the net, but now i know not to bother with insane o.c 2000mhz ram etc ( seriously the benchmarks show no increase)
i'm just gonna get 1333 ram 7-7-7-20,
and put the extra $80aus that i'd save towards that shiny i9 in a few months, or the gt300 if it comes sooner
i wouldn't buy an interim card, it's wasted money, i'm using 1 gtx280, and i purposely didn't go sli, because as with every gen the performance increase is so great, the money spent on getting 2 could get you a card twice as good next round ;), but this next series is the first dx11 cards and i believe the jump in performance with be greater than the last gen even.
grrr my main annoyance is going to i7 from c2q because i need new ram new mobo as well for the cpu, damn you intel, ...

there will come a time when i will give away the internet ( i've already given away the tv and print media)
and even gaming too, the DRM world we live in where our rights are shrinking is getting to breaking point for me
sounds amazing, i can't wait for this next series of cards, time for an upgrade me thinks
i loved far cry 2's graphics/art style more than crysis warhead. The world seemed much more alive, every where you go, every tree/piece of grass is blowing in the wind, the physics/ death animations weren't as good as crysis warhead, but far cry 2 was much more immersive
not alot on that list for me but next years going to be sweeeeeet.
Mass effect 2, Starcraft 2, C&C4, Supreme commander 2.....
that's gotta be almost as high as the 4870X2 ;)

wow i3, soon, they'll upgrade to single core processors seeing as were gradually working our way out of all the things that made the i7 so good, first they remove the ddr3 requirement, then they remove hyperthreading for the i5's...........

that's awesome that they are still making a valiant attempt to keep up, but the clocks for those cpu's sounds way too slow to make a dint in intel's i9's......or even the i7's, which is a shame, because i'd gladly get an amd cpu if they made cpu's even close to the competitions, my old athlon served me well, fingers crossed for a comeback

too long an article, but i think re-spec is awesome in rpg games, people say "but it cuts the amount of play throughs off a game", that's a good thing, i'd rather have a few good play throughs and figure out what builds i like, than have to OCD through 30 times to get one decent character and realize that i didn't enjoy even 1 hr of my grinding
i live in australia and it seems to be the other way around, but those women are so secretive, i think that they actually live underground in colonies, my gf disappears for days at a time and comes back covered in dirt...maybe i should follow her to her den and find out where the rest of them go
come on pc gamers ( all 4.5 billion of you), lets burn our pc's and admit defeat, what hope do 4.5 billion people and the endless functionality of our pc's, have against 2 little boxes that have sold less than 40 million each and have lost hundreds of millions for their makers, ^walks away^
