i've got no problem with killing humans in games, but i even felt guilty killing the dogs in fallout 3

A movie that costs 200million to make will gross 600million to 1billion ( if it's good), that's 5* the developement cost at most,
A game like fallout 3 costs less than 20 million to make and sells for $50us and sells 10 million copies = way more than 5* profit

That's completely different, i'm talking about the physical product,like i said the cd's don't cost more. what your saying would be the same as saying that a brand new developer holding a conference in a small hall should be able to charge the same as blizzcon...bigger companies/bigger costs involved.
I'm sure the rolling stones having gear worth 1000 times as much as the lesser local bands you mention, therefore tickets cost more....but it also sounds better, and you can't argue...

First:No other industry would dare claim they were owed a portion of used sales for their (former) goods, as they are now owned by the consumer, not even the car industry would try.

Alot of new game sales come from traded in games ( which have already been paid for), so how about instead of saying that a used game purchase is a loss of a new game purchase, they say a trade in means 1 more new game sale ( as they use the trade in money for the new game), seriously these gaming industry people are worse than the music industry people. No other industry would dare claim that they have a right to a portion of the sales of YOUR possessions.

sony has only beaten nintendo, profit wise, in one year, even if the ps3 sells 100 million consoles, they lose money on each console, whereas nintendo makes alot ...

sweet, cryengine is a much more versatile engine than unreal engine so i definitely wouldn't mind seeing this used more in games
