For a blockbuster, genre defining, revolution in gaming (which is what its hyped to be) then it looks an awful lot like a bog standard silent hill game, or alone in the dark.
I thought Doom 3 was cack. There is no doubt the graphics were top notch but the game mechanics (flashlight), number of enemies onscreen (2 or 3 i think) and the complete linear fashion of the short single player campaign made it bongo.
I was recently on a business trip to munich and while i was in one of the shopping centres there i saw some screens displaying various adverts in 3d without having to wear any kind of glasses. The screens were all 50" philips displays and didnt look much different than my plasma at home but the 3d effect was amazing.
Seriously this wasnt just a really good HDTV, stuff was actually flying off the screen and the effect was far better than what you get with the stereoscopic gla...
Maybe that just shows that the 360 customer base contains a larger amount of plebs who go out for pointless midnight launches ?
Your right that i am a PS3 supporter but i am not a blind Sony supporter and i will purchase whatever hardware offers the best gaming experience and for me that is the PS3. If Natal comes good and ushers in a new era of console interaction then i'll be right in line waiting to buy it. However at the moment its all talk of possibilities with some unimpressive, unresponsive tech demo's so based on what i have seen/read then im comfortable with the judgement that Natal is no more useful to me as...
The problem with Natal is twofold.
First is that people who have used it such as the recent IGN feature desacribe that it is slightly laggy which (along with the tactile feedback of a controller) makes it impractical for hardcore games.
The second issue comes from people saying "but you can use it with a controller!" in which case its selling point of 3D skeletal mapping to use your body as a controller becomes completely void. If your already using the...
The freaks who write for the examiner are creepy and distasteful. Seriously, the little smug looking nerdy chinese guy who writes for them is one weird looking gimmer.
Its all well and good to look at the current warranty situation and say "hey, they are covering it so lets stop going on about it lolz".
The fact is that it took MS over a year to even acknowledge the RROD was an issue, then a further ridiculous period of time to acknowledge the E74. The entire RROD debacle is an abomination to anyone who has purchased consumer electronics.
This is not something that people should EVER forget about and it rightfully sh...
Again no,
Comparing 2 functional, competing products head to head will always produce a technical winner.
The only time this does not apply is when you have items which are functionally identical but stylistically different such as a cooker, or furniture - this then becomes a matter of personal preference and budget.
Absolute nonsense.
As long as you are comparing 2 similar items then even a simpleton can weigh them up and come to the conclusion that one is better than the other. I have 2 kids so a Ferrari is completely impractical to me but I know that it is a far superior product to the 5 door family car I drive even though it dosnt try and fill the same niche. Likewise I can look at the F22 Raptor fighter jet and know that it is superior product to the crappy budget airline that I will ...
Yep....your a tit.
No,
Each system might have its good points but overall they are items which are both being marketed as a next gen HD gaming platform and so it is perfectly reasonable to compare them against each other. We can weigh up its graphics abilities, hardware features, sound options, software features, games library etc and then decide that one is better than the other.
Once you have made that decision then you can stop being such a drip and back your console of choice....
I think they already got the horrible prequels covered in the current Halo trilogy.
Archanfel is the strongest without any question. He is teh original Zoalord and all the other Zoalords crystal were formed from fragments of him - therefore the power of any other Zoalord is a mere fraction of his.
He also destroyed a meteorite the size of mars which makes him a bit of a Johnny Concrete in my book.
Gotta love the Guyver
Yeah man, I is slick
People do pay to use it - every time they buy a multiplayer only game like Warhawk, SOCOM, and soon MAG. And you know what, it works just great.
Its a bit like how Xbox users pay for their games and then pay again to play them online....only without the last bit....because thats stupid.
Of course its not an accident, you would have to be an idiot to think that.
What it is is a result of the Xbox currently having a higher install base which is mostly due to it being released a year earlier than the competition.
By your logic if the PS3 and Xbox360 had an equal install base then you still think there would be larger number of paying LIVE customers compared to free PSN users ?
The only thing amazing about it is that Xbox owners will fork out yet again for another installment in a series that has been declining in quality and originality since it first appeared.
OK, i get it - Halo CE was cool on the original Xbox but its time to shake off the nostalgia and realise that the rest of the franchise is kinda crap.
Given Xbox's track record of problems which "arnt that widespread" then i'll take this with a pinch of salt
The dynamic weather, day/night cycle, rolling vista's were all touted as actual game features which would make Alan Wake something that stood out amongst its peers. Now those things that were touted as features have been removed so now we are left with something that reminiscent of any silent hill game.
Call me a troll all you like but a quick glance through the rest of the comments will show you that im not the only person completely underwhelmed by what was being touted as a k...
