This is a step in the right direction for people who want choice, or people who enjoy games like this.

Your basically saying that you hate it (you havent actually tried it but nevermind) because it dosnt fit into the typical genre of what you like. Maybe there are a lot of people bored sh1tless with the typical stuff and want to try something different ?

If you dont think that choice and innovation is a step in the right direction then your a chump.

I love exclusives they give a console character. I like games like Wipeout, Killzone and Metal Gear so I chose a PS3, and the people I have on my friends list like those same kind of games and so we have something in common as a community. Likewise the 360 has Halo and Gears, now I respect that those games have a massive fanbase but they do not interest me personally and so I am happy that the people who are fanatical for those games are not part of the same community.

Without ...

There's nothing chaotic about MAG - its not like a 256 player deathmatch, there are clearly defined objectives and the people who dont follow the chain of command will not win or rank up.

LOL, just LOL

I totally get it, you love your Xbox and you dont want to admit that MAG might possibly be a decent game, but seriously though that was the most stupid, lame ass, dumb comparison i have ever heard.

Anyway, get real. If there was a 256 player Halo game on massive maps with Banshees and Warthogs whizzing around, Orbital bombardments coming in from The Pillar Of Autumn, reinforcements arriving by ODST drop pods - dude you would be creaming yourself ove...

I played Planetside for about a year on the PC which was a similar massive FPS type game and that has nothing on MAG - The reason being that MAG has a solid network and is lag free. After coming from playing the ridiculous glitch fest of MW:2 then MAG is already an astounding achievement considering it has 15 x more players in a game.

Player numbers aside the game is just fun - its easy to get into but has huge strategic depth.

I'd like to have the choice to not equip a sidearm, i rarely use them and would like to free up some weight.

I think you can actually kill people with the RPG if you hit them dead on, ive certainly been killed by it but I cant remember if I had already taken some hits and then finished off by the RPG, or if it was just the RPG.

Like you said though its pointless doing it due to the mobility restriction and reload time, just stick with the guns.

I think the main obstacle with killing infantry with the RPG is that it dosnt have a linear flight path, if you watch the rocke...

Its fine that it takes 5 rockets to take out a bunker - the game is built around teamwork. If one guy could solo a bunker with an RPG then the game would lose a huge part of the teamwork mechanic.

Nothing in this game should be easily accomplished solo.

For people who want some kind of anti-infantry RPG then there is the grenade launcher add on, the RPG is perfectly balanced in the current game.

Seriously, just try and think about sabotage if the R...

Since the character login screen is still there then i would imagine that zipper are going to sell extra character slots as DLC, Metal Gear Online did a similar thing.

Noooo, the rocket launcher is fine as it is – its purpose is anti-armour not anti-infantry.

If they make it more powerful against infantry then you will end up with the Killzone 2 RPG situation all over again with people spamming rockets all over the place.

Balance the maps and guns if need be but leave the RPG alone

Foxgod says “I never did that, i take total sales consoles sales and compare them to the total sales of the game, and i use the current date as a reference, not a date from the past like you are doing.”

Exactly and you are comparing a 3 year old console lifespan against a 10 year lifespan without taking into consideration how that would dilute the attach rates and thus make your “calculations” utterly pointless. Also what are you jabbering on about with “dates from the past”???...

You cant seriously look at the released screenshots in Halo Reach and then complain that the textures in another game look bad - The backgrounds in the Reach screenshots have textures that look like bum.

The best thing to do is instead of debating screenshots lets just wait until Reach and GOW3 is released and then talk about how good they are or arnt. Based on the current display of graphics from the PS3 exclusives then i'd be happy to take a bet on GOW3 looking the better. ...

Your logic is most definatley flawed but then again you've never had much success when you try and use logic in your arguments - i still lmao when i think back to when you claimed there was no "IF" in logic.

Still im feeling charitable so i'll run through it again for you.

Firstly you are assuming that the xbox's software attach rate would stay the same no matter what the size of the user base was.

Lets use Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 as an ex...

Im sorry mate but they really dont.

They look better than Halo 3 but then Halo 3 looked shoddy even when it was released 3 years ago. From what ive seen of Halo Reach then visually it isnt in the same league as Killzone 2, UC2, GOW 3.

Thats not to say that the gameplay might not be amazing but when it comes to the graphics then lets keep it in reality.

its not dormant its disabled in order to increase yeilds. In other words in some ps3's it will actually be non-working which means there will never be some kind of firmware update to reactivate it.

Theres a few problems with your logic there.

Firstly MGS2 sold over 7 million, not 5.5 so your figures are incorrect to begin with.

Secondly there were not 140 million customers by the time the MGS2 was launched, there was around 35 million. Its unrealistsic to expect that year on year, as the PS2 racked up a larger install base and more games become available, that new consumers would go back and purchase a brand new copy of a 5+ year old game. Especially in the...

Dont be so pompous, the term has existed since well before the days of software design to signify something that is on the way.

In this context it has nothing to do with software so maybe you should broaden your vocabulary a bit, then you'll make less of a chump out of yourself.
