If you cant understand whats being said based on the original comments plus what i wrote then you never will, its certainly beyond the scope of my patience to try and spell it out to you any clearer than whats already there.
You carry on not following whats being said and the rest of us will understand it perfectly and get on with our lives.
I did read it all and it made perfect sense to me.
Maybe its you who needs to re-read it ? Or, if as you state that you understood it anyway, maybe you just need to stop making pointless posts claiming things dont make sense when they do ?
The numbers that Godmars is quoting are numbers of PS3 hardware units. He is saying that they have sold 4.2 million PS3's in Japan and FFXIII will probably push another 800k to take the total to 5 million.
He's not talking about copies of FFXIII.
thats not gaming, thats just spending more money which dosnt nessecarily equal a better gaming experience.
The stupidity of this comparison and the people who are using it to fly the flag for Forza astounds me.
To compare a 200mb demo against a 2 disc game and then to still have to do some umming and ah-ing over which is better - get out of here !
1 disk, beautiful in its elegance and simplicity.
Well first off i wasnt drooling over any Uncharted trailers nor any other trailer which dosnt show actual gameplay.
Secondly im not just criticising the 360 fans for claiming its amazing. im also criticising the PS3 fanboys who are trying to downplay it. Im saying that anyone who starts fizzing at the gash for a trailer that shows NOTHING is a tool.
This trailer is nothing to get worked up over from either camp and i would say the same about a Killzone 3 trailer ...
Its a trailer that shows no actual gameplay. Who cares if its CG or ingame or in-engine - IT DOSNT SHOW ANYTHING !!!
No combat, no ingame footage, no demonstrations of any new gameplay mechanics, nish.
Its a couple of dudes in spacesuits looking moody...wow, big deal. Why is everyone getting excited/angry/defensive about what is essentially a massive reveal of NOTHING.
The trailer for ODST was better with the giant space monkey.
Microsoft do not own the PC platform and make zero licensing income from a game released on a PC so your comment is quite silly.
SNES wasnt backwards compatible with NES - wasnt a problem
N64 wasnt backwards compatible with SNES - wasnt a problem
Gamecube wasnt backwards compatible with N64 - wasnt a problem
Backwards compatability isnt the be all and end all. At best its a nice bonus feature but the gaming industry has survived over decades without it.
well thats just you being silly and slightly arrogant/obnoxious.
Consoles and PC's dont tend to occupy the same space in a household and therefore arnt in direct competition. My PC is set up in its own room as i prefer peace and quite for working on it or the few games (mostly strategy) that i play on it, whereas my PS3 is set up in the living room and allows me to game more sociably without being a recluse from my family.
The point is the capability of my PC ha...
Wow, that was the lamest attempt at sarcasm ever. You must have learnt such advance wit from the same guy who taught you about Jupiter...i mean Mars...errr, i mean Saturn.
If you want an open world game set on Mars then go buy Red Faction Guerilla.
Dead Space should be set in space with spaceships and space stations (clue is in the title). If your not excited by space stations as a setting then your probably buying the wrong game.
Also if you dislike dead things your also in the wrong place.
That is without a doubt the most rambling, nonsensical, meaningless jibberish that i have ever read on this website.
The X-engine is a tool for devloping games, the point dosnt need explaining any further than that. Lets not try and overcomplicate the discussion with bizzarre futuristic prophecy mixed with fanboy rantings, its just making you sound like a bit of a tool.
The X-engine isnt actually a game engine (like the unreal engine) which you would use to create a game. Its an Xbox 360 development kit which has extra memory for testing, so its a piece of hardware not software.
The idea is that the x-engines extra testing memory will allow the game developers to tweak code to make a better game, but the actual game code is still completely dependant on the skill of the developer.
So to summarise X-engine is a tool to make bette...
I think everyone wants Halo Reach to be all those things you mention, only a biased fanboy wouldnt.
Im sure Halo Reach has the potential to match or better Killzone 2 of MW:2 gameplay wise, we'll just have to see. As to the question is whether or not the 360 is actually capable of putting out something graphically on a par with Killzone then I'll believe it when i see it.
I had a lot of fun with Halo CE and i hope Halo Reach reboots the franchise because Halo 2 & Halo 3 were pretty poor and kind of ruined the wonder of the first game.
ODST should just be erased from existence.
"Halo Reach = Megaton......Killzone 3 is genetic "
Genetic ??? Try using the correct wording in your future rants and then maybe people wont think that your a total bell-end.
Anyway halo has sucked since halo 2, if you want to shoot at the scary space monkey tartarus then go for it but dont keep hijacking every post with your whiney anti-killzone babble, its just making you look like a tool.
Kudos to Blankpanther for spelling it out.
qface, try and take a bit longer to read things thoroughly and digest the information before ranting like a tool. That way you wont use up all your bubbles on pointless comments.
