They already have his African model it's called MS Points. Watch a few ads, buy games, fill out questionnaires and you accrue points which you can use to buy things.
Interesting about Alan Wake, would explain why there are episode headers all throughout that game, may have worked better as an episodic thing as they did that with the DLC after and it worked better there.

Cool, more diversity is great but only if it is in a good game, diversity for it's own sake will rarely succeed. Having said that I do enjoy Dontnod games, have played Vampyre and Life is Strange 2 this gen and enjoyed both so I trust them to build a good game.

Agreed, the Evil Within 2 was so much better than the first game but nobody seemed to play it, don't understand it.

There are cultures in teams though that live on after people leave though I agree the most important factor is the team lead and how they are running the project.

Love how these stupid articles pose a problem and then explain using the obvious how it won't happen, click bait at it's worst.

The world is going to end tomorrow but probably won't because common sense - you heard it here first!

Very cool, we need more of this type of thing from the big publishers.

He's also bought in 8 new studios more than any other head of Xbox, as well as Gamepass, Xcloud and oversaw producing currently the most powerful console out there. It's not all talk he's done heaps for Xbox..

They simply need to buy or create a Japanese studio and then progress from there - baby steps. I think a studio or two putting out good games would go a long way towards getting good will from Japanese gamers. It's how Sony succeeded in the West.

It's not all or nothing people. MS are still creating and selling consoles but are looking to get to more customers and that includes streaming and subscription services. I think that was what the article was trying to say - winning for these companies is selling the most games to the most people and there are other avenues apart from a physical disc on a new console every 7 years or so. If Sony doesn't jump onto the bandwagon and take it seriously they will be losing out on revenue ...

MS problems with 2nd party devs this gen (especially Scalebound and Platinum but including Crackdown) are one of the main reasons they have concentrated on and bought so many 1st party devs. They obviously never want to go through that type of thing again and want to regain control, so I doubt they would ever let PG develop it or give them the IP.

Both trailers for Halo Infinite were in-engine not pre-rendered CGI.

Was a mediocre game when it came out and still is, surprises me that there is so much apparent love for the game. Sony would be far better served getting them to make another Spider-Man or Ratchet & Clank game and I'll think that is what they will do.

Yep this game was originally designed for a PC and it shows.

Probably, the last one did, you just have to wait several years.

It's like a fluid simulator with gravity, looks good though.

The story about standing up at the table was pretty funny, he forgot he wasn't actually Dutch. Suspect it shows how he views himself when acting for video games.

We will all soon see whether this massive technological gap in the initial first party games ever comes to fruition or not. I'm skeptical as the exclusives in the first year or two have rarely pushed hardware to it's max in any console generation and I don't see the upcoming gen being any different.

I think Horizon Zero Dawn was released at the beginning of 2017 and it was not long after that we heard about the new RPG from Playground and how MS was thinking about making a new Fable based on the success of HZD, so at the beginning of 2021 it will have been 4 years. In other words I don't think you are far off, for a studio to create a new RPG game they have no experience in would probably take 4 to 5 years.

TBH Gears 5 is hardly breaking barriers here, yes there is Kait who is playable for about 3/4 of the game but apart from her gender the character plays exactly the same as anyone else and it's a fairly standard Gears game overall. Maybe he is talking about his dev team? Not sure.

Somehow I think you are concern trolling, I mean do you really care either way?
