We all seem to care more about Sony than the consumer and to me it's just weird. E3 was a place where I could see all the game publishers showing off what they had ready for the next year. I could watch each conference and decide what looked good and what purchases I needed to make. I don't want to go to each publishers little videos they release throughout the year as that is a pain, with E3 I could just sit down for a few hours over a couple of days and see them all be entertained a...
Pretty sure you will be able to play new games on the new Xbox and they will look and perform significantly better than the Xbox One version. If you want to get the best version you will upgrade much like people who bought the PS4 Pro or the XBX.
What a fluff piece, no details just meandering thoughts without any substance.
Agreed. That's what I liked about the last couple of Dead Rising games, if you saw a door you could open it and enter any building you wished. More games should do this.
I think recently only Far Cry 5 was a big open world where there was a lot of interesting things to do, ironically Ubisoft was also responsible for AC: Odyssey which was one of the most boring huge open worlds I've ever come across and I've played a lot.
With consoles they make their money off the services and games not the actual console, that's why the can take a loss on the console. Phones, though ridiculously overpriced can't do so they look to make a profit off selling the actual phone. Also as stated in the article, phone buyers just throw their money at phone manufacturers but console owners are usually far more demanding.
So the "every one but hardcore gamers will be confused" argument gets wheeled out again. Not every casual consumer is your 85 year old grandmother with dementia, people aren't as stupid as most people make out. It won't be the name of the console that dooms it it will be the capability and games. Wii U didn't have the games and a weird screen that wasn't needed, the Switch had good games and a good reason to have a separate screen that's why it succeeded not beca...
In 2 and a half years the switch has sold nearly 50 million which means in 7 and a half years it would have sold 150 million (assuming that the rate doesn't change). That is an incredible achievement since most generations are around 7 years, it's PS2 numbers and i thought that would be a one off.
Well as long as they have learnt never to use the Frostbite engine again I'll be happy.
As was stated in the article sales were far less than the latest Battlefront game so am not sure what lesson they were supposed to have learnt here apart from the fact that multiplayer games laden with micro-transactions make a lot more money.
Don't care about Scalebound as I always thought it looked *meh* but the rest yeah totally agree.
I would love a new Ryse game, really enjoyed it and it was beautiful.
Hopefully
Looks interesting, haven't played a good indie since Rime. It seems this gen there haven't been as many decent ones as last gen.
Remember this is NG4 so maybe not.
Thanks for that update Jim.
It was terrible in VR, well correction, it was great if you didn't move. As soon as you moved it was nauseating and if you used the teleporting function it was difficult to find out where you were in relation to where you had been and that isn't good when you have someone chasing you. If RE7 is the current template for what a good VR game is VR has a long way to go.
Well all companies publicly say "Make the best game possible" and then some privately say to the devs "but with less money and time". It sounds like this isn't what is happening here but the proof will be in the pudding when Wasteland 3 is delivered and we can see what improvements, if any, have been made over the last 2 games.
Well that's annoying, I thought this game would see me through to the new consoles much like GTA V before the last gen. Makes sense for them though as they closer they can get to the new consoles releasing the more copies they can sell (unless they give a free upgrade which would awesome but unlikely)
