I think you will only see the difference in Sony's first party games. 3rd party devs will not create different versions of the games for different consoles. Dialing down graphical features is a lot different to structural differences in games which is what Cerny talked about in his lecture.
I don't think the majority of people here actually read the article and just react, he talks about the rollout not how the PS5 will do when it actually releases. I mean does anyone here really think that Sony did the best job possible? To think they can half-arse the build up to release with no detrimental effects whatsoever is delusional on the fans side and arrogant on Sony's. Personally I think the console looks fine and will do well with their established 1st party studios putting...
Did you read the article? I thought he went out of his way to be balanced and what he said made total sense and would be very hard to argue with and never did he say the PS5 would be a failure.
I only play the campaign and from what I just read that can be played offline, of course the multiplayer is online so that shouldn't be news. This is just click bait to stir up the masses.
Yes, other wise it becomes more of a Zelda type game which also includes gated sections, finding power ups/keys, puzzles, combat and back tracking. A good example is Recore, is it a Metroidvania or Zelda type game? i think because it isn't a 2d platformer it's more Zelda like. Subjective I suppose.
Ryan MacCaffrey has got to have one of the most annoying voices on the planet.
The article says equivalent drives cost $200 USD or at the cheapest $150 but a quick search finds many that are cheaper than that and get as low as $100.
Might be a good time to start a new community especially since it's a new map. You won't be treating everybody with kid gloves then and might enjoy it more though of course it's up to you.
I love this game, have put hundreds of hours in and once I finish Ori, which I'm close to, I'm jumping right back into this.
If you're bored play Death Stranding as it'll fit right into your mood.
Yes this is a classic metroidvania, I would include the Guacamelee games in there as well. I love them.
I find if I use the map too much or leave the game paused for too long I get a lot of initial freezing but it usually goes after a few seconds. Smells of a memory leak to me. Still love the game though it's brutally difficult (at least for me).
Frame rate and textures were never a problem at least for me on the X, there were a few quirky bugs when it was first released 2 years ago that were quickly fixed but that's it.
Agree with you, I do not like opinion pieces but most people do because it engages emotions and fans the tribal wars, just give me the facts personally. It's happening more and more in journalism unfortunately and I've kinda resigned myself to them.
Love the art style, game looks interesting will keep an eye out for it in the future.
Have you been living under a rock for the last 7 years? Everyone has been demanding better from MS, you would have to actively try to avoid it to not have noticed. If this was their flagship game that was meant to keep the Xbox afloat I would agree with you but it's a passion project by less than 20 developers at Ninja Theory, most of the people at that studio are working on Hellblade 2.
Its a smaller game developed by less than 20 people is probably why. What was the writer expecting, a 100 million dollar marketing campaign? This game was made for people who like melee combat mp games not exactly the biggest market out there. I expect a lot more marketing and hype for Hellblade 2.
Always liked Samurai Jack but that last series was jaw dropping, if they can keep that type of quality for the game I'm all in.
That Sea Salt game looks interesting.
Welcome to NG4 and most of it's audience lol.
You are correct the difference isn't enough between the 2 consoles and even if it was 3rd party devs are not going to make 2 different versions of a game where one has transitional areas in games and they others don't. A bit of common sense is needed here.
