What is this infinite souls glitch anyway? I'm at work and can't look it up.
I only know of killing the people in Darkroot garden for 6k per run... is it the same or is there something else that is even more "broken"?

I think you mean the Depths right near the bonfire... I can't remember any rats in Blightown.
And yeah... I had a tough time with Smough/Ornstein. I finally beat them with Knight Solaire and another player helping me. I went solo against Ornstein while they went after Smough. I killed mine first and now have Smough Armor.
I haven't noticed any framerate issues since I installed it on my HDD. I haven't been back to Blightown since I did the install but just sayin'. I'll have to go back soon though cuz I have some purple moss to give someone soon.
RPGs are my pick as well.
I play FPSes sometimes cuz I play videogames... but RPGs are what got me hooked into playing videogames at all.

I want the patch to hit NA soon... I'm tired of crappy droprates on Humanity and Twinkling Tits. Let alone the other fixes coming. Anyone seen any rumours of the date when it will drop?
Bah... I didn't know the specifics of it... I've been running in and killing the mage and bonfireing for a while now (knight is gone somehow). Now that I know the way to kill a bunch of them at a time, well, leveling will be broken.
Anyone know if anything in the patch addresses this? Maybe AI aggro range or something?
I can't wait for that patch to come out in NA... wish we had a date for it.
I found it refreshing to discover those aspects on my own rather than having them foon sped to me, actually. I think visiting a blacksmith and seeing that you can upgrade your stuff was direction enough.
I think it fits along nicely with the storyline being so nebulous. The story of Dark Souls and Demon Souls is really left up to the player to fill in the blanks. I really like that.
Idk... I think we should just stick with the fact that Dark Souls is...

I agree with most of what you posted. Especially the GotY nomination. Also, I totally agree that Dark Souls isn't that terribly difficult. The only person who makes Dark Souls hard is the person playing Dark Souls, imHo.

"Official Guide nerfed" LOL... yeah ... with this many changes that sweet ass guide I got is now outdated as far as what "all" merchants have to sell and anything related to most weapon lines. Maps are still good though.
Found myself in one of them places where I was unable to progress and luckily I had a Homeward Bone on me (giggitty). Was when I dropped down to get the Dragon Bow in Anor Londo.

I don't even want to think of that yet. I'm not even close to finished(I think) but I'd like some extended play from some DLC packs. First time I've ever actually craved DLC... if it was anything but Dark Souls, I'd be disappointed in myself.
Awesome... I hope this makes the game more enjoyable for everyone who was frustrated with many of the aspects this changes.
