Inverno
as somone who loves the orignal and never played the 2nd(and won't play) it wasn't the woke stuff at all. It was how they made Joel look stupid/idiot for the way he behaved before being murdered. He wasn't the type to let his guard down and yet he was telling people who they were moments after meeting them in am ambush
We live In a different time right now and world economy is on edge/fragile. Don't count in casuals to pay those prices. You are talking about switch that launched at $299 now hrs $449 plus software costs more too. What made wii and switch sell were the prices that families could justify
Even though I think $449 isn't bad in 2025 but I doubt many casuals will buy it at launch. Hardcore gamers are used to being ripped off. Just look at GPU prices
Exactly this is greed yet we will have paid journalists defending Nintendo as always
Software
I see your point but I think if they release a console a year before with some great games they will definitely gain an advantage. They have nothing to lose might as well try it
This is the obnoxious Sony back before ps3 launch. They feel like they can do whatever and there is no competition for them. Nintendo has shown their own greedy practices with recent reveal
We need MS to release the console a year before Sony to get some market share otherwise get ready for even more price hikes and remakes/remasters
Would love a complete remake or sequel with enough resources
This is one of the best and most run racers
Give it time for official reveal
I was just speaking in general regarding game prices rising. I haven't bought a Nintendo console since SNES. They were greedy back than too. IMO the most anti consumer company taking advantage of parents selling really under powered consoles for premium prices
Yes might not be a popular opinion
Let’s be real: things cost more today than they did 25 years ago, and games are no exception. The standard $60 price tag held steady for over 15 years before bumping up to $70 about three years ago. Now we’re seeing $80 for digital editions and $90 for physical copies—and that’s with discs that don’t even contain the full game anymore. You still have to download the data. So what exactly are we paying for?
I don’t mind paying more when there’s more value, but that’s the iss...
Exactly this is sony level obnoxious behavior from Nintendo. So much of switch 2's reveal is anti consumer. Like Zelda remastered not including expansions. I really hope switch 2 struggles so Nintendo have to change their policies. Early struggles will give Nintendo a much needed wake up call
But let's be honest it's Nintendo system will do well. They have dabs who will defend them no matter what
My backlog is too big I will not buy any game at 80. I will wait for sales when price is 30-40. Waiting has 2 maybe 3 benefits
Lower price
After all the patches/updates game will be in a much better state
3rd being there maybe a complete edition with all the dlc
I hope the judge favors the consumers because it really sucks what thees companies are doing. I am sure these companies will simply change their user agreements to add these new "we don't own the games clauses"
I never understand if you are being sarcastic 😂
Yes I understand that but you know there will be way more $79.99 games than $49.99. When given a chance most publishers would over sell their games and add average content to say our game is 100 hours. I hope you are right and things don't go crazy but we have seen some of the worst gaming practices in the past 5 years
Might be a unpopular opinion but Diablo 3 in it's current state is a much better more fun game
Oh it doesn't well there goes any interest I had. Bungie just can't do anything right. I wanted to try destiny but I found out that a lot of the older content is gone and can't be played. Like that's so stupid you already have made that content why get rid of it
Just simply stupid. Worth 3.6 billion Sony ever spent. When they could have used those funds to buy other smaller studios who could have used those resources. In this rush of live service money gene...
MS has delivered greatly in their last few shows. So yes expectat8are high but they have so many games in development that they can show and or provide an update
It's not about being a "hater"—Nintendo themselves mentioned variable pricing. That statement alone opens the door to an important conversation.
What concerns me is how quickly prices are climbing. It took over 15 years for the industry to move from $59.99 to $69.99, yet only three years later, we’re now seeing $79.99. That’s a steep increase in a short time, and while Nintendo may genuinely intend to apply this higher pricing only to games that offer exceptio...

It's great to see the gaming industry making an effort to be more inclusive and diverse—representation matters, and when it's done thoughtfully, it can genuinely enrich storytelling and character development. That said, it's also important to acknowledge the growing concern among many gamers that representation is increasingly being handled in a way that feels forced or performative rather than organic.
The issue isn’t with diversity it...
