Yeah, I miss the times when every Steam sale made me buy a bunch of games, even some that I didn't even want to play, because the price was so good. Nowadays the games I do want to play get laughable discounts like 20%.
I feel that PC games have become more expensive and sales less attractive since ports of console games became more frequent. Coincidence?
Death Stranding's fans have the same freaking problem as No Man's Sky's. The developers showed practically nothing of the game and people are already expecting it to be the best game ever. And of course, these people will be left utterly disappointed.
A portable that can run Switch games in 3D! I really miss the 3D function...
The biggest question I have is: does it have a reason to exist since KoF XIV already exists?
When I first heard about this game I was like "meh...". But lately I've discovered that I just don't have patience for random encounters anymore. I stopped replaying some old JRPGs that I liked because of that. Even Octopath Traveler, a game that I'm really excited for, got me a little less excited for having me battle countless random battles after every few steps in the demo (of course, I'll still buy it).
Now that I had more time to think about ...
Making better GPUs (and also CPUs) seems to be getting more and more difficult. So It doesn't surprise me if we start seeing companies taking longer to release new versions.
I love(d) Sega, but I can't get excited for the 100th time they re-release Genesis games. Not only that, but they didn't even put Sonic3&Knuckles which is the best Genesis game...
I bought my PS3 because of Heavy Rain. If I didn't already have a PS4, I would probably buy one for Detroit.
I still don't understand why people consider Dark Souls an RPG series...
Ready Player One was about video games, but wasn't based on a video game. Completely different things, dude.
Wreck it Ralph was also fantastic, but it's the same thing, it was about video games, also had loads of cameos, but it wasn't based on a video game.
Since Fantasy Life is one of my favorite 3DS games, I still check FL Online's site once in a while to check its status. So much time has passed that I honestly thought it was cancelled.
Although, considering that it's a mobile game and will surely be ruined by mobile gaming conventions, I'd much rather have a Fantasy Life 2 for 3DS or Switch.
When young, I always supported SEGA. But now that I grew up and learned about all the terrible decisions and mistakes since the 16-bit era, I don't think I trust the company enough anymore to buy another console from them.
"many people talk about it"
I only remember one or two people mentioning it in the beginning of the game (one saying that they should stop using GFs because of amnesia, and other saying that the amnesia-thing is a lie, if I remember correctly). Funny thing is that nobody can remember their freaking childhoods, but the couple of people who mention the GF-amnesia problem say like it's not confirmed.
Persona-lly, I wouldn't want that.
Just because you like something, you shouldn't pretend it's perfect. In fact, doing so is what turns fans into fanboys. Considering the problems of the things you like is the first step to not overreact when another person points out one of them.
For example, I really like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but oh lord how many problems that game has. I could spend all day talking about its problems, but it doesn't change the fact that I enjoyed the 70+ hours I sunk into i...
I really wanted this game, but when I learned that they purposely made it lag and flicker to "keep the same feeling as the original versions", it went from must-buy to no-thanks.
Uhm... Seifer becomes a member of your party during the Dollet mission in the beginning of the game. Depending on your strategies, you can even level him up to level 100 to abuse the drawing system.
I knew Final Fantasy XIII would suck the moment Vanille appeared. FF had its share of annoying teenage girls (hello, Yuffie and Selphie), but it feels like they deliberately tried to make Vanille terrible.
Wow, what a coincidence. I read the title "(...) roguelike adventure (...)" from another article and thought how I tried many roguelike games but none beat Rogue Legacy. And then I see this article at the bottom of the page.
For me the problem with roguelike games is that in those games when you die, you lose everything. WIthout a sense of progression, every death feels a waste of time.
I hope they push for 60 fps, but if they don't, at least give as choices to lower graphics quality in order to improve the framerate, like it's possible on PC. I do like pretty graphics, but can't enjoy them much in low framerates.
