They already released a Theatrhythm game on smartphones years ago, but I don't think it was very successful since its support ended a couple of years ago.
The video says "please do not record" since they knew people would criticize stuff that would still be worked on, and the person goes and record it, releases it, and people criticize stuff that was still being worked on... -_-
Although I loved Persona 3 and 4, I still didn't buy P5 simply because it's exclusive to consoles. For me, JRPGs (and any other grindy games) really benefit from being able to be picked up quickly anywhere I am and being played for a few minutes.
Street Fighter V started its life focused on online multiplayer with almost no single player content. It was universally panned. It took a hefty arcade mode for sales and reviews to increase.
Dissidia NT took a series known for its lengthy and complex single player modes and decided to ditch all that to focus on online multiplayer. So I don't think the low sales are a surprise. Let's just see if Square will have to same common sense as Capcom and release an update t...
You do know that you have to download the content of the update, right?
I really want to try this game, but after so many failed early access games, I refuse to buy it until it's finished.
Are we really calling the next Xbox "Xbox Two"?
I really wanted to play it again, but I left my 3D Vision glasses and 3D Ready monitor at my house in another country, and even though the game itself is really great, having played it for so long watching those beautiful graphics in 3D, I just can't get used to playing it in 2D...
Well, it was the only enemy in the game that you could kill with 1 handgun bullet (not counting crows, but they were hard to hit and I always spent more ammo than I should to kill them), so I won't miss it very much.
"New zombies are added to the game including Crimson Heads"
Oh, noooo........... For me the existence of Crimson Heads almost ruined RE1 Remake. All the other info looks neat if real, but no Crimson Heads, please...
I still get emotional when I see his announcement trailer.
It pains me to see that people simply don't remember about Rune Factory...
I don't think I addressed the quality of Wii U games in my comment. But anyway, I also have a Wii U, and I also love its games. It doesn't change the fact that the number of people who bought one is extremely low, and its games, no matter how good they were, didn't reach the public they deserve. That's exactly why they should all be ported to Switch.
Since for everyone the Wii U never existed, they should just port all of Wii U games to the Switch.
This was my biggest fear when it was released for arcades. I was expecting that if they released a console version, it wouldn't include the vast single player content the series used to have.
One of the best games I played i the last few years. It kept me thinking about the story for days after I finished it.
I don't have a problem with "anime aesthetic" per se, but the behavior of some characters that are too "anime-y". Tora and Mithra, as said in the article, are good examples, but for me the worst offender is Zeke. From the first moment he appeared, I couldn't believe how bad he was with that ridiculous anime sense of humor.
Wii U had so many great games that no one played, simply because no one had a Wii U. They do deserve a second chance. I, for one, got really happy that Bayonetta 2 (aka "the best hack'n slash ever") will have the chance to reach a broader audience. Although I do wish Nintendo gave a discount on remasters for people who had the original Wii U versions... It would be a great way of thanking the fans who supported them even in one of their worst moments.
"Even a poor conclusion seems like a kinder prospect: you at least have that sense of closure."
I don't know if I agree with this sentence. It makes me think of the Zero Escape series (999 Nonary Games, Virtue's Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma). The first two games are so great, and the last one is such a huge disappointment... As long as it wasn't made, we still had that expectation that it could be made some day, and it would be great. But now that they made it...
Unfortunately, instead of they admitting that this is a terrible port, they will simply see the sales and say that gamers don't want Chrono Trigger and that that's why they won't ever make a sequel.
