I remember those days on N4G as well, but, I am not sure going the other way (downvoting XB articles / comments for no reason is going to stop the cycle of stupidity.
Sony fans had their time in the sun with XBO. Now, gamers should become civil and respect each other regardless of platform. We should be united as gamers not company marketers when we don't get paid to market their products.
They were comparing the load time of current gen Series S with next gen Series S to tangibly show the difference you will experience. with every game you play.
In order to compare the performance of last gen vs. this gen you need to use a game that ships on both consoles the same. Also, by not changing the code they are showing that the performance gains will apply to both BC and next gen titles.

R&C was awesome, Spider-man has been MIA for gameplay.
Gaming is about games. Because Nintendo make great games, gamers buy their products.
The big thing I want is to see the launch game list. I am tired of seeing games with no ship dates/years/quarters. I want to know exactly what they are shipping to make a truly informed decision.

If they release a $299 digital console, then their main console would be $399 or $349. The blu-ray drive is only worth $20. So, it would be more likely the main console would be $349. I doubt there would be many sales of the digital console if it was $50 less then the main console. But, the main console would sell out in no time at $349.

It doesn't matter how you slice it the full featured consoles to start this generation are enormous!
I do a one a year stop in stores just to see if I am missing anything. I haven't felt I have missed anything yet.

I would argue that even if XB had a better launch game then spider-man it would sell less.
This is because gamers also select their console based on past performance of the console vendor and as we know Microsoft's past performance is very checkered.

Their power is in your credit rating. Mess that up and it can be hard to get certain jobs or money for anything else you want to buy.

Honestly I don't see how any person with at least 10% of a brain would buy either next gen console this year. You cut through all the marketing BS, and really there is very little to nothing there.

Every company will act to make money.
For example, Sony only ships exclusives to its platform? Why? So it can sell more consoles which is a big part in how they make money.
