No. They just have no games to play...
They should go buy all the consoles so that they can keep busy playing games rather than surf the net bitching because they are in a foul mood lacking games.
@Spotie.
falviousuk is correct, gameplay rules the day.
You look at a game like Minecraft, Geometry Wars, Trials, etc...
No story, average to below average graphics, average sound...
What carries the game is its gameplay. Everything else can play a role to make the game even better, but if you start with solid gameplay, everything else is gravy!
If you have great graphics but lousy gameplay the game will not succeed,...
I didn't even touch on the Sony side... I have stocked my MS and Sony accounts up. I will be playing a lot of games this Christmas!
And I haven't decided whether to get a bundle or not... The Sunset and CoD bundles are both tempting.
Guess that answers the question of whether going (timed) exclusivity would help the Tomb Raider game sell.
Personally, though...
I am focused on 2014 still... Bought Diablo Ultimate Evil yesterday, next week Metro Redux, two weeks later Destiny, three weeks later Forza Horizon 2, two weeks later Borderlands Pre-Sequel, two weeks later Assassin's Creed Unit/Sunset Overdrive, a week later CoD, a week later Halo MCC, a week later Dragon Age/Far Cry 4...
I think MS probably did the same thing with Ryse.
It is not a big deal really... Move and Kinect games were often cheaper than AAA controller based games.
Yep...
Bloodbourne is a bought game from FROM Software...
Ratchet & Clank was a bought game from Insomniac... At one time, a second party studio...
Destiny is bought exclusivity from Bungie...
Watch Dogs is bought exclusivity from Ubisoft...
Who gives a flying leap about Indies? I prefer last generation's Indie model where only the best Indie games made it to consoles. This generation the consoles ...
What are they supposed to say?
We don't have any features, there are no games, we wish DRM was back, we've cancelled ID@Xbox, and Sony is our favourite console...
Wow, that would help their sales...
Like I said they are being consistent. When you buy the game on a different platform it costs full price... PC, PS3, PS4, 360, X1.
I bought it first on PC and then paid full price to play it on 360...
I like that the game has the same features on all platforms, they don't nickel and dime DLC, no exclusivity, and you don't have to participate in additional microtransactions.
The only way they get revenue is from new game and game exp...
I think Blizzard is just being fair to people who bought Diablo III on either PC or last gen consoles on day one and paid full price on those platforms.
Diablo III on PS3 and 360 was a full priced game ($59.99)... Because Diablo III Ultimate Evil is the same game plus an expansion they put it at $39.99 to be fair to people who bought the first one at $59.99 on last gen consoles.
Diablo III had not yet shipped on next gen consoles so gamers have to pay full p...
I think the service is a good idea, but for me it did not work and I cancelled last week when UFC went on sale for X1...
I went to buy UFC on X1 expecting an extra 10% off the 33% discounted price, but the sale price didn't stack for me... That made the subscription useless as I often wait for EA games to go on sale before I buy them. By not giving me an additional 10% off all I was doing was paying $30 a year to EA as I buy all the games eventually. I phoned XB Suppo...
I think it was more about timing then anything. Black tusk was working on action adventure but they probably weren't far enough along for a 2015 release so it makes more sense to buy timed exclusivity, redirect black tusk to gears for a 2016 game, and probably assign or start another studio or a 2017-18 action adventure.
That is almost every business' model that has the resources to do that.
So where is gran turismo for ps4?
Forza motorsports 5 will be two years old before gt is announced, then it takes them another 3 years to make it.
Yes it uploads data to the cloud. But, that data is then analyzed and processed in the cloud to create a profile of your driving in all the scenarios. Then, the processed profile is downloaded into the game.
That is one of the nice features of cloud processing. It is not a real time thing but it is a cloud feature based on big data concepts. Literally over a million or two million gamer profiles are tracked every time they race...
Drive club will have a s...
Drivatars are a huge feature. I have Forza 5 and drivatars help make the game awesome. I agree they should not of called it drivatars. But, this is a huge feature that should be in every racer.
The ability to track your friend and other driver's similar to your tendencies and put them as live AI in your game makes the racing genre a lot less boring.
All I get from this is:
If you don't like it as a PS4 gamer just buy the regular edition.
If you are so tied up about the items in the collector's edition, at least you can play the EXACT same game on PS4 as X1 and you can play the EXACT SAME DLC on PS4 as X1... Heck you may even get a few more lines better resolution on PS4 as well....
Move along people, move along...
I don't see what the problem is.
Comparing MS exclusives to Sony's exclusives is not apples to apples. Sony WILL NEVER ship an exclusive on PC. Whereas, MS IS NOT AFRAID to ship exclusives on PC because they benefit from Windows and their Windows hardware ecosystem benefits from shipping games on Windows as well.
Sony fans can say they win by simply stating quantity of exclusive content because with self-publishing Sony does have more exclusives. W...
Agreed. The more people talk about it, the bigger the deal it is...
Two obviously great games...
I drive a lot in many different kinds of weather. Both are completely realistic depending on where you be driving.
DriveClub looks more like a warmer climate location where there is a ton of humidity in the air. Forza looks like a cooler climate where there isn't as much humidity in the air.
I don't see anything wrong in either game. Fanboys may critique them, but I will play and enjoy them both!
Your second statement is pure speculation and conspiracy theory.
As for the "special edition" for X1... It is only different physical packaging. The game plays no differently and does not have different content on the two consoles. Unlike Destiny, The Division, Watch Dogs, CoD, BF, Evolve, etc there will be no timed exclusivity to experience the game in any way. That is the way multi-platform games should be.
