EA is simply providing what they promised to EA Access subscribers. Early access to games, vault games, and discounts on buying games.

How is that betting on MS?

DA Inquisition, BF Hardline are the two AAA games released by EA since EA Access started and both had early access to EA subscribers. Battlefront is just being consistent with what they promised.

Call me jaded. But, until I have seen and played the game myself I am only optimistic that it will be good.

Consoles have never been able to keep up with PCs. Only delusional fanboys think that consoles out pace PCs.

What they fail to understand is that consoles have the exact same architectural components as PCs now. so locking a console into a 10 year design automatically guarantees that it is just an outdated PC.

I hope the console vendors start iterating the hardware as the generation progresses. I think they need to maintain forward and backwards compatibi...

Lol. Well, here we are two years into a new console generation and reality sets in. The ps4 and xb1 cannot keep up to the pc. Not exactly shocking news.

I have been looking for a reason to buy a 4k TV. Maybe this is it. 4k movies are scarce, 4k tv channels are pretty much non existent... 4k games might just be the driver to 4k!

I know that sf is a heavy hitter. But this game will come out in year three of this console cycle. Honestly, how many people who would buy street fighter don't already have a next gen console?

I don't see how this is a system seller. Please explain the demographics of the people who buy street fighter and explain why you think the vast majority of them have not yet bought a next gen console.

If fighting games were system sellers then the x1 would've already got a bunch of sales because of killer instinct. Which means that most fighting game fans would already have a console for this generation.

I don't think he was talking about it in the context of not being able to play certain games. He was talking about it more like you can still play everything on every version of the console. It will just look better or have a better framerate on the newer version of the console.

To me, it sounds like MS had two studios on the project. And at some point went with one of them. If their trailer at e3 did not match up with what dark side was doing and then Lob announced a 30 hr jrpg it sounds like they had two studios on the project and chose the one they thought was best.

It stinks, but I have seen that before in software development.

Your post is factually wrong in several ways.

First, the psn has been pretty stable lately, and xbl experienced many of the same outages at and around the same time pen was struggling.

Second, DriveClub is a solid game now. It is not as good nor does it have the depth of content as Forza Horizon 2 (I have put 150 hrs in FH2 and still not done) but it has improved a ton over the months since launch.

Up until four months ago I had a bunch of PS devices. But a set of inexplicable credit card transactions on my credit card that I only used for PSN forced me to shutdown the credit card and I decided that I didn't want that risk to happen again.

I have been Sony-free for four months now and I have no intention of returning. I shutdown my PSN Plus, shutdown my PS3, PS TV, PS Vita, and PS4.

Four months in, the only game I feel left out on so far is Bloodb...

So Rockstar, who never shows up to E3 is going to reveal RDR2 there...

Hopefully this stunning world is full of monsters to kill and good gameplay like Sunset Overdrive. I will wait for reviews on this one.

By Xmas of this year X1 will be at least 15 million.

I think 4 million sales at and around xmas would be considered solid. Not many games do 4 million in the first couple months.

Every game on the PS4 should have a much larger active playlist, because there are twice as many PS4's in the hands of consumers.

What do you mean by less quality FPS games?

The only difference really on FPS is that X1 has Halo MCC (A rehash of previous games) and PS4 has Killzone Shadowfall.

This has nothing to do with Sony. I completely disagree with shutting servers down within a year and a half of games releasing. There should be a minimum commitment by publishers to keep servers running for three years when games are released.

I can understand a game's server becoming irrelevant after three years. But after just over a year is ridiculous. Heck, I can still find some brand new unopened NBA 2K14's in some stores.

True, the default is to use the most energy, but during X1 setup you are given a clear description of the options and you get to choose. If you blindly push ok, that is your stupidity.

I would hardly call Lords of the Fallen a AAA game. They spent AAA money but the result was not a AAA game.

When I played the game I couldn't even progress a certain point because the game had a game breaking spawning bug.

It was (like many supposed AAA games this generation) under tested.

So, MS should not be judged on its hardware because the Rival is a hardware company and will always outperform MS on that front?

RRoD can't be judged? Scratching discs can't be judged?

Sure... That is purely fanboy logic. A console is hardware, software, and games. Every console vendor should be judged on all three.
