Actually, I have a 50 Mbps connection and SharePlay works just fine for me. But, I know that most of my friends don't have near as good a connection and find SharePlay useless because of it.

But, if I build a luxurious vehicle that is 20 feet wide and therefore can't be driven on most roads, does that make it the vehicle's fault or the road? Point is, the Internet is what it is... That was well known by Sony prior to introducing the feature. So, when you design something that the Internet doesn't handle well, I don't think the Internet is to blame.

I'm not really into defending it, but XBox Live does have Games with Gold. There has been no announcements about that for PC. And XBox Live has weekly and special discounts for Gold members. Again, this is not on the Xbox version for PC (yet).
MS may start giving special discounts to Live Members in the Windows store. And maybe mandate that you have Gold for cross buy.

Maybe they should take the money they spend in making sure that everyone gets a few free games every month and put it into protecting their networks. I would rather have a working network all the time than free games.

This is not about PS4 over X1 or vice versa... Most of the time Indie games are on PC first. Go look at the Game List War web site, and you will see that over half the Indie games on PS4 are also on PC first....
