That's not true. I see achievements and trophies as a way to track my record in the game and let people see that record even if they don't see me play or have that game.
To me, achievements and trophies are just as much a social feature as Facebook, Twitch, and Twitter integration.
It's like the "stats" you have when you play a sport. Some people care about those stats... Some people don't... I don't think age is a determinin...
Controllers are a matter of preference.
Personally, I like the heavier X1 controller and think that the trigger feedback is amazing.
As you are gripping around corners in the Forza games and feel the triggers acting like the car it is truly an amazing experience, or in shooters having the feeling of recoil on guns is also amazing.
They are both good. It is not like one is extremely better than the other. Gaming media sensationalists would like to think so, but in reality, the choice comes down to what you value and preferences more than it comes down to one is better than the other.
I started the gen with all three consoles. I have gone with X1, but I could've gone just as easily with PS4. Nintendo games are great, but the Wii U is junk.
Just to name a few...
So what was Ori and the Blind Forest? Goat Simulator? Forza Horizon Fast and Furious? Screamride? IDARB? Neverwinter?
I don't know where you've been this year, but you obviously haven't been following X1 releases.
Yeah, once you see the writing on the wall it is time to go.
MS chose the right guy with Spencer. Harrison is just odd man out.
@Stogz so what game was comparable on PS4 during this holiday season with Halo to compare with expert?
So what was the last game that actually "runs" better on PS4? In fact, when we talk about "running" games in the past holiday season I would say X1 did better than PS4... Let's compare how PS4's DriveClub "ran" the first two months compared to Forza Horizon 2 (Both online and locally). Or how Assassin's Creed Unity "ran" on PS4 vs. X1 with Digital Foundry's framerate comparison below:

8.5 million sales of the last Tomb Raider would tend to disagree with you.
LOL. My primary gaming device is consoles, then mobile, then my PC. So I am not "rubbing this under people's noses". I am stating the world as I see it even though I am primarily a console gamer.
So how does the all those exclusive racing sims play like on the PS4?
Last time I checked... Until now, non-existent.
X1 gamers have enjoyed Forza since launch. PS4 gamers will wait at least two years for GT and they will probably rate poorly.
Really. Arguing Forza? The best racing sim and the highest rated arcade racer this gen so far. Nothing exclusive on PS4 even compares to Forza yet or for the foreseeable future.
Which platform was strong in F2P first? MMO first? Shooters first? Where are the most RPGs? Where do most indies release their games first? Digital sales via Steam? Online gaming first? VR with Oculus Rift first? First game capture cards for things like Twitch?
The answer is PC...
It is hard to think of many features that started on consoles as innovation first.
Comparing a racing sim to an arcade racer?
FAIL!
PC again proves that is top of the gaming platform pile. There are more games on PC, the quality the games can run at is higher, and the PC is the source of innovation in the gaming industry!
And before you disagree please go and research and prove facts to prove my comment wrong.
So, quit commenting in MS related news and go play your PS then. Why do you care about how they get their exclusives when you're an obvious PS fanboy?
In reality it does not matter what studio makes a game if it is exclusive.
And MS is putting money into its own studios as well... Rare, Lionhead, Black Tusk, 343, Twisted Pixel, Good Science, Team Dakota, Mojang, Turn 10, Press Play, and Decisive Games to name a few.
@cbuc1125.
The only reason PC gamers share their opinion on games is because PS gamers tend to go gallivanting about that the PS device is the best gaming machine. Just go thru this thread look at the PS gamer comments.
So, because a game comes out two years earlier on a platform makes it superior? Wow... You are correct that superior is subjective. This article was about technical specs so I was stating my opinion based on technical specs.
As for ...
@cbuc1125.
I have consoles too. In fact, my primary place to game is on consoles. But, I know that consoles aren't as good as PCs...
Consoles are for ease and convenience to run. PCs are for selection and the highest end gaming possible.
It is not trolling to talk about console gaming relative to PC gaming quality.
It is trolling when someone like yourself only takes exception when someone points out both consoles are inferior ...
The title screams console wars...
Meanwhile, GTA V is 4K on PC and a mere 1K on PS4 and Xbox One.
So, while PS4 gamers brag about how great the PS4 has a full 180 more lines of resolution than the X1, they only have to look at the PC to see true greatness at double the PS4 resolution.
Brilliantly written story? OK... I will give him kudos for narration. But, the story wasn't exactly gripping.
And I wasn't expecting 15 hours from it, but only getting 2.5 was pathetic. Anybody can make a great story in a 2.5 hour game. Give me at least 4 hours and some challenge I probably would've been happier. But, in 2.5 hours I think I reset the levels about 5 times. Hardly challenging.
And it would've been nice to have some semblanc...
Thomas was Alone is a lame game. I finished it in 2.5 hours and it has no replayability.
If this guy is indicative to what indies have to offer, they can keep their games on other platforms. The cost of the game for time spent playing is next to zero value in this forgettable game. All it did was help my Gamerscore. And that's the only reason I played it for 2.5 hours rather than dropping it after the first few levels.
I don't think so actually. If you take a close look at above the headlights on the yellow McLaren you can see the polygons rather than a smooth curve.
