Film has yet to surpass TV. If you want a good story on "film," you'd watch a TV show. My point is film nor books is the ideal medium for storytelling. It's just another medium.

I find stories in games like Persona 3/4, Digital Devil Saga, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Uncharted, and Shadow of the Colossus to be far better than most movies I've seen. And most books are rarely that good either. I hate this elitist mentality. Grow up.

EDIT: And...

I was pretty much doing what Kaz was doing in this photo when I saw that statement. Good luck. You'll need it, Sony. Not that I don't want them to. By all means... they just need more games... better games.

We're a bit away aren't we? Like 20+ days away. Remind us when we're more like 2 days away. Chances I'm going to remember this, pretty low. I don't know what it is about E3, but somehow I always forget about it 'til someone reminds me the day of. Which is hilarious because it's one of the events I'm most excited for.

I think 360 owners do too, it's just that PS3 owners are more accustomed to it. Bombarding the 360 with shooters has desensitized them to more artistic experiences. Don't get me wrong, the PS3 has got a lot of shooters too, but because Microsoft snatched up a lot of shooter fans early on in the generation more PS3 fans will desire games outside the box (easily explainable with statistics I'm sure). If games like Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Fable, and The Witcher came out at launch I&#...

I actually hear they have insanely good sales (cheap games) and their subscription service is really nice (offers a selection with quite a few new games). If connection speeds became great enough to sustain graphically heavy games like Uncharted 2, God of War III, Crysis, The Witcher 2, etc than I'd be all for it. As it stands now though, quality will likely take a hit as streaming will never (well, I shouldn't say never) beat on-disc storage or downloadable/installed games. Still tho...

New Vita games would be nice, but wouldn't you want legacy titles as well? I like to keep some of my favorites on the PSP just to have them in one spot on the go. I love how whenever I feel in the mood for some retro gaming, I'll just pick up my PSP go into the games tab and play some of those legacy titles.

Its convenient. It also gives me motivation to play some of my backlog (games I haven't finished) as I don't need to wait to sit in front of a TV, which w...

I must be the only one who doesn't like the cover. I liked Resistance's a lot, but not this one.

I have an excuse to repurchase the games. Someone broke into my house last year and made off with my original PS3 slim and Resistance 1 and 2. I hope SCEA releases this here in America too, and hopefully none of the greatest hits versions are included. If so, I'll have to hunt down the originals.

My guess is God of War: Ascension. It was just announced. We barely have any info. They need something to talk about by the 30th. They'll likely explain what we saw in the GTTV preview. I doubt it'll be a previously unannounced game. Sony will save that for E3.

I was thinking more like a supernatural cyberpunk version of Assassin's Creed with BioShock like sensibilities. Sounds/looks... interesting, what matters is the execution. We'll see what Arkane Studios can come up with. I haven't played any of their other games, but what I have heard hasn't been too good. So here's hoping! : )

My thoughts exactly. Nothing major came out here in America this last month, yet it was only behind the 360 by 40K. Microsoft is losing their lead. They definitely don't need to. They're already giving Microsoft a run for their money in their only leading territory. It's quite a turn of events this last couple months have been for Sony.

Now, don't get me wrong. I think Sony should cut the price tag by another $50. If they're smart, they should try and brea...

I like EA. They publish risky titles and let devs keep their IPs. They try to fund all sorts of interesting artistic games. They remind me a lot of Sony... just with more money to spend/risk/lose. lol

I'm still trying to finish Uncharted, but that's pretty much it. For some reason, I'm not really getting into Golden Abyss. I thoroughly enjoyed the last three, but this one just doesn't hold a candle to any of 'em (IMO). Still, the hardware's nice and I like watching my videos on it and playing old PSP games. With a job this summer, I'm looking to buy even more digital games.

It's a nice piece of tech with a lack of software... as to be expect...

This is what I don't get. Why do people assume N4G only applies to America. N4G is a news feed for games. Period. That includes the UK, Japan, and any other nation with significant news in gaming.

I see what you guys are saying, but I think devs are capable of doing exactly what you guys are asking for on both systems. Believe it or not, most games do not go over 20 gigs. If they do, it's usually because of uncompressed audio (PS3) or duplication of game data for faster loading. If you took these away, you'd probably be left with something around 12 GB's. Which if compressed could fit on a DVD.

I do believe Square is doing just fine. The visuals whether on ...

A game is not ruined by going multiplat. It is the same game in essence, even if they had to scale back the visuals or whatever. Can you go back and play FFVII and still feel its charm after all these years? If yes, obviously, it doesn't matter.

You'd buy based on a label? What about the people who made that game instead? They're more important than any label. It's why I picked up XIII. It's why I picked up Persona 4, Uncharted 3, Heavy Rain, God of War III, Mass Effect 3, etc. I don't buy based on a company's name. I buy based on the talent behind the game. For Uncharted it was Hennig. For Persona it was Katsuro Hashino and Yuichiro Tanaka. For Heavy Rain, Cage. God of War, Asmussen. And finally Hudson and Wa...

I thoroughly enjoyed romancing Kaiden. Didn't expect it, but it came as nice surprise. Thanks, Bioware. And thank you, EA!

Okay, so if you were to write a story and knew exactly how to end it (how YOU wanted to end it), yet some fans opposed you, you'd be perfectly fine changing the ending YOU wanted? I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. You can no longer call it art the moment you take away creative control. It's no longer yours, it's the fans. It's NOT an artistic expression of YOUR thoughts and ideas... it's someone else's. You basically want to turn what should be on the level of...
