Guess they should have put a gun in their hands. Bet it would have been entertaining then. *eyeroll*
I'm pretty sure Sony said something similar a couple years ago. lol
$150 for a mini PS3. Yep, that's reasonable. Wait a year or two if that's your sweet spot. I can see them cutting it to $200, but no lower. At least for a good while. At this rate, they'll be coming out at TGS and apologizing for the "lack" of games. They could always have more though. So I won't complain.
Fucking Gravity Rush, sir. And Persona 4: The Golden. What the hell is wrong with you?
I don't think you need a health bar because they did a good job of showing blood when you're shot. The more blood that appears on screen, obviously the more you should consider healing yourself. Even if they use the black and white filter from UC, that'd be easy enough. I don't think it'd be that hard, and can be left as a choice in the options. I don't care.
Like I said, I think it's fine. I just think it has more to gain by losing it.
This is the game I want to hear the most about. Even more than Watch_Dogs. So much mystery. And David Cage has more than proven himself to me. His direction and writing capture a lot emotion that most games fail to even show (save Naughty Dog, Bioware, and Remedy).
I could do without the health bar. Hoping Naughty Dog leaves in the option of using some sort of blood loss effect like Uncharted. It takes away from the narrative. Don't get me wrong. I loved the demo, and thought it was best of show (even better than Watch_Dogs, Ascension, ACIII, and Rayman).
Moneyhatting all around.
They did something right?
Exciting. Another game we'll never see in America. :'(
Short answer hell yes. Now more than ever.
A story can make or break a game for me. Take Gears of War for example. It's an insanely fun game, but once you pay attention to the story your level of enjoyment will plummet. It was one of the first games I ever came close to hitting the mute button and getting rid of subtitles. And I never do that. I hardly play games without stories anymore. I like my gameplay with meaning.
I can't just play a game anymor...
You try it? You're the kind of people this article is referring to.
Most people here make it sound like the article was negative. The only thing it was really negative about was the advertising and under-utilization of most games... well that and the people like down below who don't even try it.
The author matter of fact listed Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3 as GOOD examples. Surprises me to see just how many don't even bother clicking through before hating on the site.
Is anybody else surprised there is a E3 2012 Judges Event? What the hell is this?
He does that because "games" are thought of as toys or something akin to competitive sports when they can be so much more.
The more popular term developers (as well of a lot of users both on NeoGAF and N4G) have been throwing around include "interactive experience." A name like that implies far more than just "games."
You'll see a lot of developers use these words. They are still very much games. They just don't fit most ...
Regardless, it's going to be gold. Hashino is amazing! I'd buy anything with his name on it. Don't let me down.
Also, I don't like the implications of this title. I'd have thought Persona 5 or SMT IV/V or whatever would have already been in production. I wonder if the crew is up for another Devil Survivor or Devil Summoner too. The former has been fairly popular lately.
God forbid we have a story to follow rather than make are own, right? Cinematic games are bad and shouldn't exist. Let's give gamers less choice. They shouldn't be given the choice to play such games. /s
Does that sound right to you?
You know, the only reason you're getting disagrees is because of the implication that Heavy Rain is not a game in your statement. I'm sure everyone who disagrees with you acknowledges MW3 as a game.
Just goes to show how much of a bigot you're being. I hate using that word personally, but it's the only word I could think of to describe you.
Oh, so someone's opinion is wrong? I'm sorry, I didn't know we're all drones and shared the same thoughts. I guess I should reconnect with the hive mind now. /s
Back on topic, he's one of my favorites. Don't know about being THE best. I like Fumito Ueda, Ken Levine, and Katsura Hashino a lot too. Oh yeah, and Shinji Mikami. Of course, Casey Hudson is a recent favorite of mine. Amy Hennig is an excellent writer whom I wish had more control of the actual...
still...
