I believe their goal was 10 million for the fiscal year. lol Only 8 more million to go! XD

Wow, I actually think I like this idea more than LittleBigPlanet. Reminds me a lot of Okami for some reason.
This must be one of the only lists where I disagree with everything. Well, okay, I did think God of War II was overrated, but the first and third were nigh on perfect as far as I'm concerned. And I loved Dead Space and Dragon Age: Origins. Two of my favorite games this gen, actually. Weird list, guys.
I loved Squall. I could definitely relate. Most introverts will.
I can tell you're a big action fan. Nothing bad with that by the way. Just pointing it out.
For me...
1) Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
2) Mass Effect 3
2) God of War III
4) Heavy Rain
5) Batman: Arkham Asylum
6) Mass Effect
7) Alan Wake
8) inFamous 2
9) Portal 2
10) Dragon Age: Origins
Still haven't played a lot of games though. So, my list will probably be really shaken up over time. Haven't played Red Dead Redemption, Dark/Demon Souls, Super Mario Galaxy, BioShock, Metal ...
really? -_-
It's unjust and disgusting. Critics are not always right! It also impedes artistic development. People should feel free to express themselves through interactivity as they see fit. They shouldn't need to appease the gaming media, which is a fickle and often elementary bunch.
Nah, not video games just the Dark Knight Rises, evidently. lol
You can't blame the artist when he/she has no control over how the viewer/reader will respond to their work.
I have to disagree. One of my favorite games of all time Digital Devil Saga 2, doesn't do much to innovate the RPG genre. The gameplay isn't a whole lot of fun when viewed on its own. The battle system and difficulty settings are pretty good, but it'd get old if it wasn't for the amazing storyline.
Seriously, the story was so good that went straight up to the top for me. All that mattered was I felt a genuine bond between myself and Serph, as well as the rest ...
I disagree. Yes gameplay is important but so is the visual, aural, and writing aesthetics. Its a VIDEO game. It's a part of the visual art medium, as in: movies, TV shows, paintings, architecture, etc... In an interactive experience it all has to come together. Just like a movie brings together visuals, audio, and writing, so to will video games. The only addition is interactivity, which it has to seamlessly weave into the experience.
And gameplay mechanics are dull, by t...
As much as I liked The Artist, I thought The Tree of Life was better. Far better actually. I'd consider ToL as one of the best movies of all time. The Descendants was really good too, but the ToL takes the cake. At least for me, but I digress.
I too agree. I'm sick of gamey-games. I know exactly what this guy means. It's called a VIDEO game. Yes, interactivity is important. But people have to consider the presentation and the context they deliver through as well: ...

Another example would be Shambhala when a rocket takes out the base of a pillar holding a platform that was carrying Nate, Chloe, and Elena. As the platform descended the mountain (a plummet that lasted a good two minutes at a pretty feverish pace) it was our job to stay aboard and ward off the enemies falling with us.
Usually this would be relegated to a cutscene, but this was fully playable. You could do anything you wanted. You could brandish your ...
So, Uncharted has a problem for focusing on exciting gameplay? I don't understand. Just because it's not challenging doesn't mean it's not a great game. A game doesn't have to be difficult to be "good." Matter of fact, games that are too difficult often are frustrating for the average/casual player and will be regarded as a terrible experience. Does it make it one? No. Is one less game-y than the other? No. They just have different focuses.

He wasn't stating he didn't care. He was asking why should we. Also, if you read the article, he actually mentions exactly what you wrote at the very end. So... yeah.
Why torture us? This game will never come here.

Gamecube and Dreamcast. Yep, those were the times.
Tried it once on the N64. Lost interest. Tried again on GameCube. Same, lost interest. Tried again on 3DS. This time I made it halfway through before again... losing interest. I don't know what it is about this game, but it just doesn't grab me.
The sense of adventure is lost. The NPC's aren't terribly interesting, and the story isn't any good. The gameplay seems formulaic and doesn't capture the spirit of adventure as well as a game like Oblivion or s...
Everyone thinks this but forgets the trend. Each generation in film and game, file sizes have increased tremendously. DVD's were lucky to reach 9 gigs. Now, we have Blu-Rays that range from 25-50 gigs. Uncharted 2 alone is around 23 GB's on the PSN. Even if you had the best model (360 GB's) that would take a large amount of space.
Yes, you could technically buy a new hard drive. Hold on, let's look on Amazon real quick. PS3's take 2.5" internal hard d...
