1) God of War III (As good as Uncharted 2 imho)
2) Heavy Rain (For some reason, I feel badly for ranking this under GOW3)

I don't get the hate. I absolutely loved FFXIII; thought it was one of the best games of the year and probably tied as my favorite Final Fantasy along side VIII and X.

I see what you're saying though, but people do this all the time. I didn't trust the Resistance 2 reviews when they first came out (9.5+ scores), and I'm a big fan of the original. Once I got my hands a hold of the sequel, my gut instinct proved correct. The campaign wasn't nearly as fun as the one found in Fall of Man. They added a lot of generic moments throughout, sadly.
That could very well be true, but keep in mind Gran Turismo 5 is a racing sim: emphasis on SIM. Most racing games can hardly compete with the amount of depth GT5 has packed in it.
Probably, regardless, I honestly do believe the PS3 exclusives have far outnumbered the PS2 exclusives in terms of quality.

I'm pretty sure mine wasn't a coincidence. A lot of people reported the same thing the day of the firmware update. Matter of fact, this site had an article on it that listed the one's typically breaking down after the update. Mostly older models were affected: the 20, 60, and 80 Gig models.

Just thought I'd warn you guys. My 80Gig PS3 (bought back when Uncharted 1 and Heavenly Sword came out) died after downloading and installing firmware for Modern Warfare 2 combined with Sony's firmware. This happened sometime in January earlier this year I believe. Black Ops uses the same engine.

What exactly set Left4Dead apart from Dynasty Warriors? Both games involve you taking down hordes of enemies, but anybody who's played both will clearly tell you the difference. Just because it's treading familiar ground does not make the game any less spectacular. It's all about presentation: how they choose to steer the game, direction.

Was just going to say this. I didn't like Resistance 2 near as much as Fall of Man, but this sounds insanely more interesting than either of its predecessors. And dare I say, potentially more affective than inFamous 2. I like how personal they're creating the story. Sounds like Heavy Rain, but in FPS form. This will be day 1 for me.
Honestly, I'm glad they took that scene out. It's stupid. We don't need an answer if it delves into the supernatural. Heavy Rain is supposed to be bound in reality. It makes no sense to include a scene like that.

Honestly, I have to say I'm quite surprised by this one. At first, the game was universally panned. Critics were pleased with both the art and concept, but felt the gameplay was lacking.
