Surprised? O_O Um... GT5 had only five days to sell before the end of November. That sounds insanely good to me.
EDIT: @L4DRocks
My bad, seven. Regardless, a week does not equal a month. While most don't get a full month to sell, games like Black-Ops release early (November 9th) to pick up word of mouth, which helps it sell during Black Friday. GT5 didn't have that. Neither did Donkey Kong. Those are the only two surprises this month in my honest opi...
Uncharted 3: Beyond High-Definition
lol
3x greater than 1080p? x_x Uncharted 3, so good the PS3 no longer supports it.
Naughty Dog, stop it. You're embarrassing the game industry. Keep it up and we might as well make you Gods.
Did they remove the screens? I can't see any. Would someone kindly link us to the screens they're talking about.
By the way, the placeholder box is full of win!

@ the_only_lol_king
Both of those are concept. You can tell by the shading on the character.
O_O
*bows down before Naughty Gods*
The earth will shit bricks tomorrow. The wait is literally killing me. : (
I'm interested in seeing God of War III's budget. ^_^
Now that's a game that made use of production values.
My money's on inFamous 2 as of now. The competition in my mind is between Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 (love the new direction - way better than Resistance 2), LittleBigPlanet 2, LA Noire, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, Killzone 3, MotorStorm Apocalypse, Bulletstorm, Bioshock Infinity, The Last Guardian, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, The Last Story, Portal 2, Dead Space 2, and Batman: Arkham City.
Why so many awesome games? o_O
*twitches with excitement*...
The localized version of Tales of the Abyss had an excellent voice cast. And Vesperia did as well... more or less.
RDR gave some nice competition, but not near as much as the other three you mentioned. ME2, GOWIII, and Heavy Rain are some of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, and in some ways, matches the excellence of Uncharted 2.
Couldn't agree more.
Honestly, I can't decide between God of War III and Heavy Rain. Both are equally deserving. But I have to say, I respect their choice.
imo, overall game of the year should come down between God of War III, Heavy Rain, and Mass Effect 2. None others have come close to what they have achieved. Not even Red Dead Redemption, which was a largely marked improvement from Grand Theft Auto IV though... thankfully.
I mean yeah, there's SMG2, but I'm looking...
Besides this, there is one other game whose story exceeds that of most movies and books: Persona 3. 'nuff said.
They didn't list several games:
Heavy Rain - PS3 (surprises me, because I was actually considering voting for it GotY)
Bayonetta - PS3/360 (definitely the best 360 game, and probably deserves a spot in GotY)
Persona 3: Portable - PSP
Resonance of Fate - PS3/360
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey - DS
Yakuza 3 - PS3 (Nice game nobody played)
Valkyria Chronicles 2 - PSP
...and of course, Battlefield: Bad Comp...
And to think, they said the PSP was dead too.
Over the past two weeks in Japan, the PSP has outsold every iteration of the DS combined by over 70,000 units. Now that's incredible!
What do you mean "still?" Honestly I don't understand the headline either. Sony had always said we couldn't keep any of the free content (other than themes, and avatars - mainly we can't keep free games; not for sure about the minis). We have to renew our subscriptions to continue using the content. Besides, you can keep the DLC. This doesn't make any sense.
There was never any "honest mistake." Everything they said still holds true. Any co...
lol Not only that, but the guy assumes the average gamer interested in GT5 wants the game to be anything but a simulator. Gran Turismo has had a long history. Not every game is going to be a Burnout. Besides, I know of many racing-game enthusiasts who are quite satisfied with the experience found in this "virtual racer." Just because a game doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it fails at what you perceive to be as "providing an experience."
Um... if they don't release this, I'm seriously considering boycotting Nintendo for good. And people say they support new IPs, I find that hard to believe... at least here in the west. :(
Doesn't matter. Headline's wrong, and the contributor obviously has a spin. Just look at the headline for the alternate source: "Sony “Plays” With Move Numbers, Again."
lol He's trying too hard.
The numbers are shipped (sold to retail, which is all that matters to Sony and Microsoft - more or less, they actually need to sell too to have a demand), but they're for solely the bundles and none of the stand alone controllers (at least th...
lol Took long enough. Now where's my 3D porn?!?

hahaha Best comment so far!
Sony should make this their new tagline.
Is this because of Uncharted 3? ... so good, not even the PS3 can contain it. Maybe this external processor will display up to 3x the resolution of 1080p. : ) A man can dream. I've already set their first screen as my wallpaper. Mmm mmm good.
By the way, I doubt Sony would do this, unless they package the new processor with all models henceforth after release.
