The gap is a six month timeskip that takes place after the game's opening. Strictly speaking, inFamous 2 does start right after, or just really close, after the events of the first one.
Duh, Mass Effect is basically every Asimovian Sci Fi cliché made into a game. Of course you're going to find reminiscent themes in about every single piece of Science Fiction work.
"story is much better you always have one focus and that's the beast"
Untrue, half the game focuses on the issues with Bertrand and the Militia and the Conduits and all that. Basically, it's "to hell with The Beast!" despite the reminder that it's going to eat Cole soon.
Just like the first one, where half the game focused on you fixing the issues of Empire City and whatnot.
Really, it's just more of the sa...
Crappy month 'cause there's about no overhyped and probably overrated games?
Durrrr.
Ah, whatever. Catherine and El Shaddai for me, and perhaps EDF.
Correction: He likes FUN sandbox games.
Saint's Row 2, inFamous 2 and Just Cause 2 are just that, incredibly fun.
You readin' this, Rockstar? Fun's what it's all about!
I believe C.S. Lewis said it best:
"Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into mid...
These were surprisingly amusing.
Now let's see if he brings Yoshida with him. They're a golden team.
"why didnt they quit if it was so brutal???"
Actually, many people did. And the men were forced to work overnight, by the way.
And that extra time they spent wasn't paid, at least for those that quitted.
Yeah.
And since when is "cinematic" good?
Just saying.
What's sad is that FFXII could have been a game of the likes of Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre; a Matsuno masterpiece. But Square kicked the director as the game reached 70% completion, changing the main character of Basch for that faggy Vaan, and making its finale completly disjointed. A true screw up, for shame.
Not quite. The draw distance, jaggies EVERYWHERE and uneven quality in animations kinda hamper the look of the game. In my opinion, Red Dead Redemption looked better.
Tl;Dr:
"I've never played Armored Core: Last Raven or just good ol' Wizardry, or Ultima. Or any roguelike in existence. Durr." - You.
@Studio-YaMi
Demon's Souls is actually rather easy in comparison to those games, which was my point.
In fact, Demon's Souls wasn't hard. At all. Unless you had some kind of...mental handicap; which, by the way, based on your way of typing, I believe you have.
I do wonder how much it takes to amaze you.
In all honesty, though, I do find inFamous more fun and charming than most open world games- not to mention that the storyline is incredibly enjoyable, and so is the gameplay, despite its glaring, obvious flaws. A tad overrated it is, perhaps- but hell, which game nowadays isn't?
Again, it's fun, but I wouldn't describe it as "amazing" nor any of that- at least not in my standards.
I'd seriously love to see Love Plus or Amagami over the States, personally. And SRW.
Anyone with a distinctive, differing, and usually negative (or simply honest) opinion is a "hater". Mindset applies to about every buncha fanatics everywhere, not only kids creaming their pants over the newest Call of Duty.
Meh, tried playing this.
And it reminded me of why I loathe teenagers, and my time being a teacher in a local High School. So, good going, game. With your meme-spouting, perhaps realist idea of a cybernetic era, you made me want to kill every single character presented, and their overly-simplistic dramas. You made me wish to slap every single one of those kids, and tell them to grow the hell up.
Just like in my personal experience. So, hooray for that.
But dude, Noctis looks pretty faggy, too. Hell, the whole male cast of vsXIII looks like a hipster boy band.
@Peaceful_Jelly
You said it, "current". I miss the days when we would have main characters like Cecil.
P.S.: Noctis still looks faggy. Hell, about every male character Nomura designs does.
Indeed, eventually we all grow out of that juvenile mentality on which every game needs guns and gore or, otherwise, it's "childish".
C'mon, kid.
I do, too.
Also, a role-playing videogame bases itself on stats, loot and NUMBERS first and foremost.
So...yeah, BioWare. At least bother to learn the definition of the genre you're so fond in making.
@pandehz
Which "next level", may I ask? The level where games stop being about adventures based on the core mechanics of Dungeon & Dragons, and instead ditching that for an "accessible" game with med...
