Why on earth would you even come to N4G if all you wanted was news from those two sources? Bookmark those sites, spread your worthless drivel all over their message boards, and stay away from N4G.
+ bubble for speaking exactly what was on my mind.
I would have played this game every day had it not been for some of their design decisions. I got hooked on space flight games back in the original Wing Commander days, and I absolutely love playing these games with a flight stick. Unfortunately, if you use a mouse with an unlocked cursor, you're going to be more accurate than a stick, and that makes PvP, which Black Prophecy was based around, suck. If there would have at least been one server that forced a locked cursor, regardless of...
Origin. The studio responsible for two classic gaming franchises: Ultima and Wing Commander.
Speak for yourself. Plenty of people know what the Konami Code is.
Is it just me, or is anyone else getting tired of the "Let's do an article on GTA V even though we don't have any new information at all" trend? Seriously, unless Rockstar is revealing new footage, more than a couple of screens, or at least some confirmed features, there's plenty of other things to cover. Enough GTA V fluff pieces.
Poorly written as in he has the power to wipe out everything, which is his goal. He can destroy everything and send all of existence into the void. Instead of doing that, he feels it isn't worth doing because everything will end eventually anyways, which is just a lame way of keeping the game going when it should, by rights, end. Your party lives because he doesn't feel you're worth the effort to get rid of, which is just really sloppy. Yes, most powerful, sure, but an absolut...
ExDeath isn't even a person, though. He's a tree that is easily killed with money. He is incredibly powerful, but because the player has to be able to beat him, he simply chooses not to do anything drastic with his power. The fact that he's a poorly written character makes him a horrible villain, regardless of how powerful or evil he might be.
I'm really curious to see what the correlation is between people who loved Final Fantasy VIII, and people who's first exposure to the Final Fantasy franchise was VIII. And to be fair I'd say the same thing about VII.
I've played just about every Final Fantasy game ever made, and VIII would have to be one of the worst ones ever. I hated Squall from the moment I started the game until the moment I mercifully finished. There's no real growth to his charact...
@blitz0623
Perhaps I'm just remembering it incorrectly, but you and I have very different views of Squall. Perhaps it is because of the fact that I played Final Fantasy games before VII, so I always looked past character models and pretty scenery when judging characters. VII didn't have a lot of great characters, to be honest. There were a few, but not as many as I'd have liked given previous games. Sephiroth was not the great villain everyone made him out to ...
Actually I think that was more to publicly humiliate her and teach her that some things she should keep off the internet. If my daughter ever bitched to all of her friends in a public forum of some sort (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc) about her mother or I disciplining her for something she did wrong, I'd make damn sure to respond in a very public way to let her and her friends know how much trouble she was in.
Yeah, because console elitists don't throw multiple paragraphed rants into PC related article comments. I'm an actual gamer, I don't limit myself to one particular platform, but even I get sick and tired of all the console fanboys dissing on PC gaming and feel the need to shove it back in their faces from time to time.
This is why I love having a dry, morbid sense of humor. Everyone else slowly backs away from a joke like that, claiming "wow, that's dark." I completed the thought in my head with "...takes son's 360 into the bathroom, plugs it in, stands in recently filled bath tub, and drops it."
To quote the (IMO) best SNL Jack Handy short: "I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not for our children's children, because I don't believe children should be having sex."
Is it just me or does it look like the team's first target (pictured at 0:59) was Chuck Liddell?
What exactly is it you find offensive? The fact that the bad guys (who you should dislike) disguised themselves as nuns and wore skimpy leather clothes underneath? The fact that the bad guys (again, who you should dislike) were all killed in brutal fashion by the good guy? What exactly is it about a fictional video game that you find offensive enough to tell everyone you know not to play it?
Running is a perfectly valid option. When your squad is wiped out and you're the last person left, you run. You don't stand and fight and risk getting killed by yourself. You get to cover and let your squad spawn on you so that you have backup. Kicking someone for playing the game and not accepting a "digital death" is bullshit admining and doesn't deserve traffic.
And you can complain about snipers all you want, but the truth is they do a lot more f...
@Grifter024
That has to be the dumbest thing I've read all day. "Girls talk to much so they suck at video games!" What kind of BS reasoning is that? If you're playing a game for the social aspect of it, you're going to talk to the people you're playing with/against. I've had several matches on BF3 and CS:GO where there isn't 5 seconds where someone isn't talking, and we're never talking about the game. Doesn't make any of u...
It's not about "respecting females" it's about building a better character. There are "light" games that don't put any emphasis on the story or the character, or in sports and racing cases, don't have a story or character, and then there are games that are interactive narratives that require a strong story and strong character development. The new Tomb Raider is that type of game, and Lara's character development needs to be handled with care to make ...
I'll definitely be getting it for my PS3, but I'm not so sure about it being "the Need For Speed game that everybody has really been waiting for." Especially after the reviewer says it is basically a sequel to Burnout. Don't get me wrong, I loved Burnout, but I want the Underground-Most Wanted era of NFS back. I want customization on a mechanical and cosmetic level. I want opponents that I can't just slam around in order to beat. I want to earn my victory throug...
