@Swadian
Lol the only reason you say overrated is a "meaningless critique" is because someone is using it to describe something you actually like.
Writing it off as being "subjective" is just as meaningless as you claim the word overrated is. The series is held in high regards, but every single last one of those regards are still just subjective viewpoints in the end.
Overrated in respect to what, you say? Usually when s...
I agree with Masuta. I don't care about them telling us a lot about the game, though it'd be nice if they just came out and said whether or not they were working on it. All they'd have to say is either "yep" or "nope" and lots of people would be okay after that.
Personally I think they're just waiting to debut Source 2 and then they'd talk about HL3 after that.
@DoctorJones
Half-Life is indeed overrated. I've seen a lot of people say they didn't care for the games.
I liked HL1 a lot, but HL2 (and its two expansions) were really boring to me.
Right there, there are people who would prefer me to get burned at the stake for even expressing that, but I don't care.
Funny because you pretty much proved his point, that people take it too far. He said it was "kinda"...
Lol it's not an "app" either. It's a new low-level high-performance-based API from AMD.
Nevermind. It's been clarified elsewhere that Ground Zeroes is just the prologue, kinda like the Tanker section in MGS2, or the beginning of MGS3.
This better not be true. Charging full price for both, for a nice $120 would be ridiculous. I know Kojima is a master troll, but that's stupid if true.
Dude...
It's a goddamned BEEP. Probably the LEAST important aspect of the system, and you're complaining about it.
I just don't get people.
Everything in the MG universe is made out of nanomachines. Nanomachines: The Game.
@lastofgen
I clocked in around 5,000+ hours total on KZ1 online, but that was over a period of 4+ years, and it was one of the main games I played at the time.
" Too many ppl cum early."
LOLWAT
@Bolts
Physx 3 can run off the CPU. Only GPU-accelerated Physx is exclusive to Nvidia due to the CUDA cores.
Physx is rarely impressive anyway, but we'll see how its implemented (if at all).
Rockstar hasn't mentioned it, yet anyone with sense knows it's coming. Every main GTA game has come to PC's, and nVidia themselves said GTA V is coming later.
As for "PC fanboys" not caring, not sure who you're referring to, but this game will make Rockstar possibly another billion dollars once it releases on Steam. Don't underestimate PC *gamers*.
Evidence isn't needed.
1. All of the main GTA games have released on PC.
2. Series began on PC.
3. Nvidia accidentally let it slip that the PC version exists when they were mentioning upcoming PC games not very long ago.
4. They made over USD $1 billion in three days with this game, making it the highest-grossing product in entertainment history in such a time frame, taking that crown from CoD Black Ops II. It would make ZERO financial sense to *no...
LOL yes. I remember that. There was a huge outrage.
Winner: Yay, I won!
Winner 2: Me too!
Taco Bell: LOL NO U
It was the most jacked-up sweepstakes ever.
True, lol. Burnout 2 *kinda* had them, but they weren't officially there until Burnout 3, true. :p
MGS without the exclamation mark just isn't MGS. It would be like Quake with no strafe/rocket-jumping. Burnout with no takedowns. Call of Duty with no campers. It just wouldn't be right.
That was literally the first thing I thought when I saw that comment, lmao.
N4G, home of the hypocritical fanboys. That's coming from someone who is completely neutral on the system war thing.
As if Activision has to worry about money with how much they make off CoD every year...Get real. "Disturbed" my ass, lol.
Well AMD said earlier this month that they don't have any desire to target the "ultra-enthusiast single-GPU market" i.e. Titan, so this is probably gonna be significantly cheaper than that.
@Belking
Mantle does not benefit Microsoft in any way whatsoever.
*Cross-platform, works on Windows, Linux, etc.
*Takes the place of DirectX (MS proprietary API) when the necessary hardware is detected
MS wants everyone to use their DX API. Mantle is pushing people towards using AMD hardware and more open-source development (similar to OpenGL in some ways.) Mantle will work on Linux, so people won't even have to use Windows to tak...
