It's a good thing that they're only using x86/x86-64 right now. Makes it much easier to not only get the games made, but also easier to port them to other systems (XB1, PC) and back with less problems.

BF2 Modern Combat was actually an awesome game. I played the PS2 version back in the day and it was hella fun, and that was even after I had already experienced 1942 and BF2 prior to that.

Turok was a way of life game back in the day. I remember the 2007 game, it was actually fun to play, but one hilarious thing about it was how overpowered the knife was. You could annihilate just about anything with the knife in that game.

I wonder what happened to just using God-mode? That's actually one of the origins of such cheat codes from back in the day (besides debugging and QA testing) -- devs would just have some type of God-mode enabled for presentation purposes, so they wouldn't waste time restarting from a death and ruining the flow of the presentation.

A PS2 dev already said a few months ago that the reason the CPU performance is the way it is, is because the game isn't really multi-threaded well enough. The game mainly runs on one dominant thread and only lightly uses another thread.
This is less of a problem with Intel CPU's because of the stronger single-threaded performance, but people with AMD CPU's get the shorter end of the stick.
