"So when you say slow to produce in comparison to who? They're technically creating the most new intellectual properties out of the 3 console makers... "
Thats a bit of a loaded question. Its not compared to who, its compared to what. The "what" being the PS1 & PS2, the systems that set the bar for greatness.
On a side note, I find it ironic that most of the games that you listed aren't out yet and the ones that are were ut...
Boatloads of new IPs is kind of exaggerating. Sony has been very slow to produce games this gen. Not defending Nintendo cause they were very, very slow to produce games with the Wii U, but Sony only looks good by comparison.
"That "sensation" was one of frustration at the clunky tank controls that responded like everyone was drunk."
They were only clunky if you weren't doing it right. Smooth as butter in my hands. Not to mention, they added options in the HD remasters that would work fine in any future fixed camera angle game so this point is irrelevant even if one only has the attention span of a rock.
"The fixed camera was needed because the PS...
Thats the most idiotic things to put together in the same game: online only & no dedicated servers. Guess who did it... thats right... Ubibaby, hahaha.
Whatever bro, its buh-hee-moo. Seriously though, its beh-hee-muth. Only source I can find thats saying its bee-hee-moth is emmasaying on youtube.
@kraenk12
You're reading that pronunciation wrong (the vid says it like you wrote it) and I looked at 3 dictionaries. The word 'automat' comes from the word 'automaton', but it doesn't mean the same thing. Its a type of cafeteria where the service is automated.
Then why drop the camera angles in favor of FPV. I agree with the "RE6 too action" part, but I think they underestimate how much flavor that the old static camera angles added to the experience. They were a big part of that... "sensation".
"it's pronounced OW-TOH-MUH-TUH."
Thats how it was pronounced in the vid I linked. Its the plural form of automaton. Automats are a type of cafeteria.
Hopefully this will scratch that Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden itch. Would be nice to hear someone actually say "automata" correctly ( https://www.youtube.com/wat... For some reason it drives me nuts to hear everyone, especially people from major gaming sites, say it like its a Japanese word. Its like when my friend says behemoth like bee-hee-moth.
When the only turn based JRPGs are games like Bravely Default, I Am Setsuna and WoFF, of course not. If they made a game that was on the level of FF9 or better, it would be a different story, especially a game with the FF title, and especially a numbered FF title.
Its Final Fantasy. It was going to sell well, regardless of the combat system.
Some people prefer a diverse games market, and its not just the turn based rpg that is missing from it.
There is no shortage of games with action combat in the modern market. Its about all there is out there, for the most part, especially in the AAA space. People long for turn based combat because of the lack of diversity. Had this game been turn based, it would have been a step towards balancing the modern gaming industry and there wouldn't have been any room for people to long for action combat cause they're everywhere. Longing for great action games in the vein of Devil May Cry and N...
3.5 - 4 mil ps4s. Its not sensationalism.
It didn't sell like hotcakes in its first week. Less than half initial sales than FFXIII when there are almost as many ps4s in Japan as there were ps3s when FFXIII released.
The ps4 is selling faster in Japan than the ps3 did. 125 weeks to hit 3 mil units sold vs ps3's 127 weeks to hit the same. In fact, there are only around 300k less ps4s in the Japanese market now than there were ps3s in the Japanese market when FFXIII dropped.
Why run the risk of actually liking a game when the publishers arbitrarily tack on a shelf life. The more you like it, the worse of a deal it becomes, all because ubi are intent on making the paying customers pay for the sins of the pirating community, even though its a bad business model that runs the risk of harming sales.
I read the article and did a text search and I couldn't find the term "arcade racer" anywhere.
It needs Rogue Squadron 2&3, RS3 mainly for the co-op version of RS2, but HD remasters would be so much better. Full on remakes with retooled missions, added missions and improved flight mechanics and controls would be the absolute best. Still needs couch co-op though.
Unsold copies eventually get shipped back to distribution centers which then get sold back to SE. Unless a copy sells through to the customer, SE hasn't REALLY made its money.
