It only took one bad move to ruin Sakaguchi's reputation and influence within SE. If Sony pumps a bunch of money into this and it goes down, he's gonna have a hard time getting funded in the future.
Playing through Bloodbourne right now. That game is twisted. Its also really good. Just beat that giant thing at the end of the nightmare frontier level on NG+. took all freakin night at level 99-114. People say that game has no easy mode. The default game IS easy mode and NG+2 must be reverse god mode. Couldn't imagine even trying it, much less NG+3-9.

On year 4, bro... year 4. I agree that this year looks pretty good between the ps4 and the Switch, but the first year and a half of the PS2 puts this entire gen to shame. This gen should have been getting into its groove 2 years ago.
Retailers are well within their rights to limit purchases per customer. I remember when PS4 was up for pre-order, my local gamestop wouldn't allow more than one unit per customer account to be pre-ordered. It is absolutely annoying to have to run back and forth to gamestop every time a new piece of the switch comes up for pre-order. Fortunately I was able to get the console and pro controller pre-ordered.

DmC failed because of dumbed down gameplay, characters that felt pretentious and lacked personality, and a story that was as bad as the characters for the same reason.
It would have to be the cartoony SW. The non cartoony stuff KH2 kinda sucked.
People are always talking about how good video game stories are nowadays but the only thing Ive played in recent memory that I truly feel is movie material is Bloodborne. On the surface its a beautifully disturbing mix of Manhunt and Silent Hill but theres something going on underneath the surface that makes it so absolutely mind bending. Been playing the demo all weekend and I f***ing love this game.
Survival action game? Maybe Rev 1&2. 4-6 were straight up action games, 1-0 were survival horror games with no action.
At this point, I feel like you gotta own both to get the number of quality Japanese titles and diverse games, in general, that you could get from just owning a PS2 in its day.
The Switch will be a good companion to my PS2, Wii(more like: Gamecube), PS3 & PS4.
There is a question of whether Sony searched the actual PS3. That would be illegal. If its stuff on the cloud, though, thats a different story cause that is on Sony's private servers.

If the FBI were in the business of saving kids, they wouldn't be wasting resources going after the sickos that download the stuff, they would be using all of their resources finding and going after the sickos who produce it. They certainly wouldn't be distributing it for entrapment purposes, cause that just floods the internet with it. This doesn't help any children, it just props up the FBI's arrest numbers, which maintains/boosts their funding.

They said they didn't do an open world cause of load times in a game where the player is expected to die a lot and also for matchmaking accuracy. The first of their Ninja Gaiden reboot games is a Zelda-ish open world and I hope the next NG is too.
