Didn't realize that there was a Japanese Gilbert Godfrey.
To me its a brand new game, period. Never owned a Wii U. Picked up MK Wii just to see if I could get into the series and now MK8D is one of my more anticipated games this year. Can't wait. I'll be able to hop back and forth between it and Persona 5, assuming Ace Combat 7 doesn't get a surprise release around then, which is unlikely.
"So will these tracks be $$$ DLC again?"
No. All DLC is included with the game at No extra cost.
Is that the game that would mess with you and pretend the controller was disconnected?
And Kid Icarus. It would be crazy if they reached back into the NES days and pulled out something like a new Kung Fu game, or something else we haven't seen since the 80s.
The soonest you're likely to hear about MK9 is 2019. I agree that they need to go all out on the classic franchises though.
Or just require the use of the GC controller with the adapter.
This will be the first Super Mario game I play, for real, since the original. Kinda looking forward to it.
@Godmars290 Your not wrong. Kratos was a no f****s giving beast. Don't know who the hell this guy is.
$299 is a decent price, maybe not as competitively priced as it could have been, but decent. The controllers and accessories, on the other hand, are OBNOXIOUSLY overpriced.
@ Overload Well that was inevitable.
lol Nintendo fan, my ass. I'm an oldschool Sony fanboy. My psn is the same as my username, look me up. Been waiting for the ps4 to live up to the "greatness" of the ps1/ps2 eras like I thought it was going to when I bought one almost 2 years ago but instead been getting shafted with almost nothing but shovelware and mass market horse shit. Thank god I kept my ps2 and ps3.
The value proposition for their online service and controllers & accessories is definitely their weak point.
Pro controller is a better value and even it is a bit overpriced. Liked the games, wish there was more but was generally pleased with most of what I saw... I just think they need to rethink the value proposition on the accessory and online service side of things.
Thats exactly what I did. How many did your store have? Ours had 40. I was kinda surprised.
I got mine too. They had 40 up for pre-order at the gamestop in Turkey Creek, just outside of Knoxville. Was kind of shocked they had so many. Knoxville is a big place though.
@Erik7357 I'm pretty sure Persona 5 and Ace Combat 7 are going to be be great. Nier: Automata could be great too, but we'll have to see.
@moegooner88 Couldn't care less about the industry patting itself on the back. TLG and Bloodborne are the only great exclusives Sony has so far. With SMT, Xenoblade 2, Fast Racing MX, Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda:BotW, Mario Kart 8(not a Wii U owner), new No More Heroes... even that one SE game "Octobath whatever" looke...
"Platinum's own website had Scalebound listed as a copyright to Microsoft prior to its cancellation."
With all due respect, if you had lead with that, I might have believed you.
A trademark is just for the name. It doesn't give Ms ownership over the game or anything in it. All PG has to do is rename it. Copyrights, on the other hand, are automatic. If Ms didn't acquire them through contract then they are ineligible unless PG willingly sells it to them.
"Now you can continue being delusional in believing that a company without a publishing arm can own an IP, but the fact I presented is definitive proof Scalebound is a Microsoft property...
Not a bad start for the year. Got a few good ones in the pipeline, for once.
