There is no real limiting factor besides the courts. You have no idea what else the government might do. They've been trying to get their foot in the door of the gaming industry since the MK controversy back in the 90s.

The gaming world is not short on new IPs. What Sony IS short on is a sense of its own history. There's a reason that Nintendo can go through decades of failure and turn it around so quickly. Its because they remember where they come from. Besides, if you want new, its not new IPs that are important, its new gameplay ideas (something else Nintendo leads the industry in). Whats the value of a new IP if the gameplay is so damn similar to everything else that is out there?

Thats talking about trademarks, not copyrights. Activision sold the copyright to Fromsoft in 2004. Unfortunately, unlike trademarks, Copyrights don't expire when left unused.

The new one is just an online mp game with a tacked on single player element. Its not hard to out do those. Not to take away from the original Bf2, though. It was a great game, whether you had an internet connection or not.

The obvious answer to the problem is to make the grind much more reasonable. Few games are worth hundreds of hours of playtime, and this isn't one of them.
After going cross era with the heroes, I'd say canon is a lost cause.

Its not an unfair advantage if everyone can do it. I'm not going to do it cause I don't want my user name associated with such activity, but I'm not going to hold it against anyone who does. The crates are too damn expensive for how little credits you can make per match, and how the system isn't set up to pay more to those who perform better.

Who the fuck plays a game for a whole year. Most games,if worth any time at all, are good for about 10-20 hours. I give this game, MAYBE 60-100 hours. With the current situation where all unlocks are unusable and I keep getting dropped from every match, I give time spent and nothing more. This guy seriously doesn't understand the concept of the value proposition. The value of time spent vs money spent is completely subjective.
