How can AI "create worlds, characters and stories way beyond anything we can conceive of today" when its entire output is based on what it's learned from humans.
It's a useful tool and has big potential in gaming but if you're wanting it to create brand new experiences you're barking up the wrong tree.
Feel like a quality KZ2 remake with solid MP would be a good seller and also help fill in a gap PS has had for some time. It's a strong franchise, I understand it died for a reason but I think it was due to market saturation which isn't the case now.
Can't stand this guy's videos. Always gives the impression he's jacking off while filming.
Crazy how buggy it is considering the time and money spent. Not just a few bugs but an army of them, starting from the tutorial and continuing throughout.
I'd say that one area that Skyrim indisputably beats Oblivion in is combat. Way better archery and melee.
I suppose it speaks to the integrity of the site that they gave it a mediocre rating, you get so used to the idea of sites being biased that it stands out a mile when purexbox.com doesn't automatically give an exclusive an 8 as a minimum. Fair play.
The review does clarify that it's not for me, I'm not a fan of stealth and sneaking around large open areas. Would have been better as a more grounded FPS version of Uncharted.
I agree, I'd buy Elden Ring 2 in a heartbeat but I'd prefer a brand new game, with an entirely new set of lore to have explained to me by more intelligent people. Feel like ER wrapped everything of interest up especially taking the DLC into account.
That's true but they're never topping the original trilogy, so beating the new films is the only realistic target and it looks like they're going to pull it off. They were crap weren't they.
They look pretty good too, wouldn't be surprised if they beat the last two films for quality.
Only seems that way ("PS fanatism") because Sony is currently on top. Naturally there will be more positive articles and comments about the front runner.
I don't see the problem, it seems to suit the game. Uncharted could only work in third person because of all the platforming and the various ways you can get about like a hyperactive monkey. This seems to be slower paced and focused more on immersion than exciting gameplay so I'd say it works.
True they've been on shaky ground recently. They'll have learned from the experience and won't return to it in a hurry.
"Phil Spencer wants PS fans begging for Xbox games to be on Playstation"
I'm sure he does but he's not going to get that. I think a lot of people, you and Phil included, vastly overestimate how keen people are for Xbox games to make the jump to PS.
That would be a certifiably insane thing to do. They might as well pack the company up now rather than waste any resources on such a plan, not that there's any evidence it's legitimate.
One quality game every 6 years would be a better idea.
Dredge is great, really enjoyed it. One of my favourites too and something original as well.
That's some impressively unflattering boob armour, you could drive a bus between them.
The preview says absolutely not, but I hope you're right.
It's funny how investing money in SP games made them big money and built the reputation their brand is known for, investing in GaaS has lost them a fortune and semi destroyed their reputation, but they're still cracking on with it.
They need to get a grip. They want 80% of their resources working on new SP projects and leave the remaining 20% to have a pop at hitting the jackpot.
The gameplay sounds like it's very stealth based. Realistic maybe but is it fun, not for me. I'd prefer more of a blockbuster vibe for the franchise, more like Uncharted.
More explorable interiors and NPCs with infinite waffley dialogue is still a million miles away from your claim that AI can "create worlds, characters and stories way beyond anything we can conceive of today".
It's a tool, that's it. It will never replace human creativity.
