I don't think PVP is inappropriate for this game if you think about what it'd be like if it was real life, but it's good that they're aware that a lot of players would rather have their fingernails pulled off than directly fight another player and are tailoring the game for them.
I got a bit of a futuristic GTA vibe from the trailer, I assumed that's what they were going for. It's not a bad thing though, Rockstar make great games, and besides it won't play anything like it apart from the driving perhaps.
I don't care about any of that stuff specifically but it speaks to the adult nature of the game and I'm on board with that.
Sounds like they've absolutely nailed this one. I'm excited to play it, I loved the original game at the time (in the 90s?) and it's definitely been long enough for it to feel like a new game especially with all the well thought out changes.
The only people I'll really take seriously who complain about first person in Cyberpunk are the ones who physically can't play because of motion sickness or whatever. As for everyone else they have no idea how well FP works for this game or how well it fits the gameplay because they haven't played it.
The complaint about not seeing how cool your character looks all the time is a little sad. That's not the point of the game and if it was then the game would ...
I personally enjoyed it because I found it intriguing. But one man's quiet, reflective and intriguing is another man's boring and I can definitely see why it would be a bad trailer to a lot of people. You can't really sing its praises because there wasn't a lot to praise, you either dig the weirdness or you don't.
Well he thinks he does anyway.
I was fine with a world in which kids in games couldn't be killed. Never felt the need to see it or do it.
I think we're over it now, everyone? Yeah, thought so. Onwards and upwards.
You say nothing to pity but people who don't play anything in first person are missing out on loads and loads of great games. That's a fact.
Honestly I think people are just throwing their toys out of the pram because they expected it to be third person after TW3 and they don't like not having their expectations fulfilled. I'm sure there will be loads of cutscenes where you get to admire your character if that's a super important part of a game to you. ...
So many people who apparently have never enjoyed a first person game. They have my pity.
To be fair after seeing the initial amazing looking gameplay in the original TLOU footage I felt mislead when I was actually playing the game and it was a poor imitation of it. Watching the footage of the sequel gave me a strong sense of deja vu that they're pulling the same trick.
Sounds like the conference itself didn't go well but when I'm popping these top quality games into my PS4 the field where I grow my fecks will be barren indeed.
Going to be tricky balancing VATS so it isn't either way OP or useless against a competent player.
Looks great. Do we know if it has online co-op?
Yeah it was poorly edited especially compared to the original trailer. It was like a rush job.
I have to say that was a fairly big downgrade in slickness and impressiveness from the original trailer. I'd like some reassurance that there's a strong RPG lead story in the game because what I'm seeing there looks quite tired.
Yeah I wasn't expecting a subtle, almost elegant gun dick.
You can tell the new UI was designed by someone who doesn't actually play on consoles. Very poor effort from them.
They certainly could, barring small improvements they've barely changed a thing since Demon's Souls. For example NPC's still don't have any animations for their mouth moving when they talk.
