Yeah I'd feel more like a big step had been taken if things like destructible environments and the things you mentioned became the norm, backed up by buttery smooth frame rates, rather than slightly more detailed graphics.
I've been critical of Kojima on and off over the years but I've got a lot of respect for people who try to break the mould, in any field, and that's what it looks like this game will do. He has got history for doing that.
There isn't a lot known about it for certain and that's no accident but what I have seen has been intriguing and that fact alone trumps 95% of new releases which I might buy and enjoy but don't excite me because it's the same o...
This looks absolutely awful.
Get help.
Can't really get excited about someone beating someone else at a video game but well done to him I guess. Not sure if all the raw emotion is warranted but hey.
It would certainly be interesting to see them tackle an open world RPG whether it be medieval or not. They've got the storytelling chops to make it work. I get the feeling that they might be interested in doing an RPG.
It's definitely never coming to PC. Never. Oh wait, maybe it is.
Clear as mud.
Are you sure about that? Going from memory all four of those terrible cars have been in the game since day one.
I really like the look of how the character moves I think it'll feel good to control, also appreciate every hit of his sword making the monster visibly flinch.
Another PS4 exclusive eh, could be a good one.
Going from that it looks stellar.
Guinness World Records here, you currently hold the World Record for Most Spelling And/Or Grammatical Errors In One Paragraph. We're all rooting for you here, go gevesovi!
Intrigued to read the reviews, if it can get a solid 7 I'll probably get it.
I'm surprised to hear that the handling is very fussy, I might be remembering it wrong but I thought the old V-Rally games were more on the arcade and fun side of simulation, which is what I prefer. I do enjoy super precise style handling too but only in small doses before it becomes tiresome.
Love a bit of Bloodborne and Souls lore and this was as interesting as ever. It's always impressive to me how well hidden the info is and also how clever people are who can uncover it and piece it together. I sometimes try and do it myself, stand there staring at an interesting statue or whatnot but it's just tumbleweed in there.
Yeah I dislike sites that spread 17 points over 17 pages but this was only a few clicks and they made some insightful observations.
I guess westerns are slow burners. All a GTA trailer needs to show is a plane flying above a city and everyone is psyched because they can fill in the blanks but seeing some middle aged bloke riding on a horse in the middle of nowhere doesn't have the same effect. In these character driven things you need to spend time with it and soak up the atmosphere and that doesn't translate well to short gameplay demos.
I liked the first game and I expect I'll like this one too. It's a western and there's a limit to how exciting they can be in the modern world.
I'd go as far as to say the gameplay was a chore, I'd probably have enjoyed it more if it was a Telltale or Quantic Dream style story focused game albeit with the graphics from TLOU.
It is a really good game but $30 is still slightly on the high end for it.
Great read, thanks.
