Trophies are just there so developers can gather statistics on players. One that we here about is the completion rate of games, how else would they get this information? Multiplayer trophies are there because they want to know how many players reached level X. These are the only trophies they care about. The rest are only there to reach a quota which is why we get rediculus challenges.
I got my first platinum trophy last night and was sadly disappointed. It just popped up in the corner of the screen for a second, I was expecting it to be a bigger deal, perhaps a congradations. For me the reward does not match the time and effort required. Dont think I'll bother getting another one.
Now that's a scary thought!
I wonder if going timed exclusive will decrease sales?
They sell exclusively to less than half their market, that half aren't all that impressed with the DLC (7.1 user score on metacritic), then people like me that would have bought day one but couldn't will now not buy it at all.
I don't think we're quite there yet but you're future is one I fear.
I'm with you, being a GoW fan that is all I ask for.
This is none sense. All franchises are new IPs until they get a sequel. If a new IP is good enough it will definetly sell well. Just to name a few successful new IPs this gen, we have Batman, Red Dead Redemption (not exactly a new IP but it's not like Revolver was a hit), Uncharted, Heavy Rain, LA Noir, Little Big Planet, Infamous, Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, Demon's Souls, and The Witcher. I'm sure there's more...
That was a great read, I really like the idea of My Sony Life.
UC3, AC3 and B:AC are all excellent in 3D.
I agree with Pachter. Every time I've told a casual I know about the Wii U I get a similar response. They're simply not interested because the don't play the Wii they currently own. I don't think Wii U sales will be anywhere in the phenomenal Wii, I reckon Nintendo's handhelds will outsell the Wii U.
Congradations looks like a great TV. But where are you getting the idea that Sony TVs suffer from terrible crosstalk. A simple Google search will reviel that yes, some of the older generation cheaper Sony TVs have problems but you'll find the same is true of Samsung. You'll also find that the high end models of both Sony and Samsung have excellent 3D performance with virtually no crosstalk.
My advice to anyone contemplating buying a 3D TV is that you get what you pay ...
That's a great idea. Thanks for the advice I'll definitely be stress testing in the future.
Me too, love my TV :)
I haven't heard anything about Stig leaving SMS. Maybe they'll pull a Naughty Dog and reveal a new IP from the same studio.
This could be a Vita spinoff rather than GoW 4.
I just finished the game and personally I have no problem with the ending. I assume there are multiple endings but none the less I really enjoyed how my game ended.
Now you mention it used are called per-owned at EB in Australia.
It will probably work. Clever marketing really.
To add to your point, in the near future I doubt it will be possible to buy a TV that's not 3D. Penetration is increasing, before long the small market share that is 3D will be the majority.
