I'm not doubting LBP as a game...I'm just doubting as a kill ap. It will be a niche game.
For me, the year has already peaked with GTA IV and MGS 4...I don't expect anything coming out this year to be nearly as good, though I'm really looking forward to Left 4 Dead. Last year really was one of the best years gaming has ever known and it's going to be tough to top.

You are, and I am too, but there are a lot of people that bought a PS3 for some of the reasons that were discussed. I have friend that insists some of this stuff, like the last one about ripping to the "Cell storage", is still going to happen.

Sony made promises 3 years ago and haven't delivered on them. People still own PS3s and are waiting for them to make good. It's nothing like a girl cheating on you and you not getting over it. Not unless you're still with the girl and she's still flirting with other guys and...Wait, it's not like that either.
I agree coompletely with the reviewer when he says "what could have been a game for the masses is an inside story or joke".
Not that I would want Kojima to compromise his vision, but this game isn't going to move the massive numbers they want because the plot is so insular...Yes, some people who just genuinely love good games will dig it but that number is going to be REALLY small.
As good of a game director Kojima is, I hope he never makes a film...I doubt...
Because the one that just upscales probably won't cost anywhere near $400...

I'm almost done with MGS 4 and so far I'd give it a 10 as well, but it's not without it's problems. No game is perfect but the sum of it's parts add up to what I would qualify as a 10/10 game.
The funny thing about this is how many people are genuinely upset that this guy gave it an 8 and why he have it an 8. Then when it's pointed out that it's his opinion, they say he's biased because he's not on board with the long cut scenes and the wonky shooting.

Why are people so quick the forgive a system merely because of the brand? I have a PSP and I love it...As a personal media unit that happens to play games. I use it way more to watch movies. I've played MAYBE 4 games on it and only finished 1. I find the controls to be rather terrible on it with it's lack of second analog stick. Yes, it's sold a lot. But selling and keeping is another issue. A lot of people get rid of their PSPs merely because they don't use it. Sony NEEDS way more good games...
