Yeah I agree. Make a dead space 3, but have an original story/setting. They’ve proven they can do the game justice, and I think they could evolve 2 in a good direction, keeping a similar tone. I’d love s Dead Space 2 and 3 though. The remake was fantastic. Top tier remake, up there with RE2.
I don’t. I mean I bought both, the One X and the PS4 Pro. But they didn’t sell that well. I doubt if was worth the R&D and manufacturing/advertising.
Could be wrong though.
I’m just looking forward to seeing the slim models. I doubt I’ll get one, but still always cool to see.
One of my favorite games growing up. Almost beat it now for the 1st time in 23 years lol never managed to finish it as a kid. This will be one of my most satisfying gaming achievements
It’s pretty clear, the developers were more or less forced to make a games as a service type game. They’re great at what they do, so it looks great, and will most likely handle really well. But the core of the game is still a gaas type game.
No idea why they decided to go 3rd person shooter style though. All the characters look like they play exactly the same but with a different special move.
I’ll be skipping this one. I wasn’t into it from the get go and I haven’t seen any...
I just got to chapter 4. I couldn’t use magic attacks until almost the end of chapter 3 lol wasn’t ideal but I made it work. Just had to plan ahead more. It’s been nice being able to play properly the last few hours though.
Faithful remake of DS2. Then just ignore DS3 and go in their own direction. DS3 wasn’t tense or scary and it’s too big with the earth getting invaded.
Replaying this now, I see the flaws obviously. But it aimed high. And I see so much potential in a remake. I’m playing and thinking about things that could be added and expanded upon. There’s a lot of stuff they could do with this to really make it huge RPG.
Standards have gone up. This was 90s era anime essentially with, let’s say, less than great translations. I love it. But even replaying it now, I see how far the medium has come. It was fairly high caliber for the time though.
Just a heads up, a bunch of Dragoon magic attacks are busted and break the game.
Roses astral drain, dark dimension
Darts explosion
There’s probably more but these are the ones confirmed so far. So far only dragoon magic attacks seem to break the game so just be cautious when using them.
If this happens, press options/start on the controller and there’s a rewind feature, rewind to before you chose that move. Don’t save in the quick save menu if this happens...
I like remakes. So long as they’re done well. The resident evil and dead space remakes are the gold standard imo. FF7R wasn’t my thing but it was well made and I know FF fans love it so that’s a good one to.
There’s so many old PS1 era games that need remakes/reboots. Legend of dragoon, legacy of Kain, ocerina of time, skies of arkadia, etc. People could add to this list on and on and I’m sure 90% of them would be warranted.
People always complain developers can’t come up wi...
I hope I’m wrong and this game turns out good. But like, what a terrible concept for a game. I haven’t seen anything so far that leads me to believe this game was worth making.
It’s kind of a shame they’re all closing down or changing from game sales to collecter/toy sales. I’ve been all digital for around 8 years. But I still have friends who’s internet isn’t up to par for that. So they still buy most games physically.
When I was younger I’d go in to EB at least once a week, knew the guys working there on a first name basis. Used to just go in and bullshit for an hour with them about games coming out of games I hadn’t tried yet. Was a good little community...
I know bluepoint has been saying they’re interested on and off for years now. Hopefully they get a green light on that. If it’s not still on my account I’ll rebuy it, hopefully some decent sales show buyers interest.
I hope so. I’ve already bought it 3 times lol hopefully it’ll still show from when I bought it on my Vita
Oh no, now I’ll have to go after all those damn stardust’s lol can’t wait
LEGEND OF DRAGOON ON CONSOLE!!!
I’ve been waiting on that for litteraly over a decade. Hopefully this means we may be closer to a remaster/remake/sequel
How’s it running for you? I tried all 3 modes. Only one I had issues with was Fidelity RT. I found it was running at around 15fps (aducated guess as I have no tools to measure).
Fidelity and performance both ran well. Ended up staying on performance even though I didn’t find fidelity bad at all.
The loading wheel doors are a nit pick but noticeable. For my entire play through I had 3 problems.
1 hard crash
1 corrupted save file where it loaded me under the map unable to move. Luckily an auto save was available and I didn’t lose too much progress
1 section near the end where the frames dropped to about 1fps. A pause to the menu fixed it though.
Other than that I’ve had no issues during gameplay in my 43hrs.
Somebody doesn’t appreciate good survival horror games
RE1 NEEDS a remake. RE Code Veronica is an obvious one. Even RE0 should be played by more people. It was largely skipped when it came out. 5 and 6 could both use remakes with full retools to bring them lore in line with the previous games. I’ve played and beaten all the mainline games and both 5 and 6 were major dissapointments.
I think they have plenty of games to redo honestly.
If they run out maybe they can redo the Dino Crises games.
