Have a hard time believing there can be better clouds in games than RDR2’s. Go watch Timelapse’s of clouds in that game. They’re stunning.
But I’m happy to see better ones.

I hope so. I loved this game on Gamecube. One of the first games I bought with my own money. Didn’t expect much from it but it totally sucked me in.

I JUST got my buddy to play Zero Dawn. He was blown away by how good it was. Like yeah, I’ve been saying it’s great for years. Now he’s just waiting to get a PS5 to play Forbidden West.

$26.99!? Damn haha I mean I’m getting it but I didn’t expect it to be so much. Frozen wilds was $20

100%. They just admited all their talk of “wanting games to be everywhere” is all bullshit. But I mean, we all knew that. They did and said the exact same stuff when they bought zenimax. That didn’t even get a parity deal though.

Because the money men had a hard on for games as a service for years. But there’s only usually around a handful that can be popular and successful at any one time. The play base have their live service games they like. So the vast majority failed. And now they’re scared to green light anything new and risk losing money. Because AAA game development cost tens or hundreds of millions now. They just lost many times that launching half assed gaas games over the last 5-8 years. So now they play it...

I don’t know. Ragnarok, Forbidden West, Rift Apart, Returnal, Demons Souls. There’s some pretty great games on PS5 right now. Not even getting into games with PS5 updates like Ghost of Tsushima, or even Resident Evil 2 Remake. Which will always go down as one of the greatest remakes of all time.

It clearly takes inspiration from bioshock, but in no way was it a spiritual successor.
In my mind, true spiritual successors are games done by a person/team that worked on the original game, but for one reason or another, can’t make another entry in that franchise.
Whether they are good or bad, is another story.

I’m glad it sold well. It’s a fantastic game. Remedy does great work. The Alan Wake Remaster was really good to. Looking forward to a Alan Wake 2 and whatever else they do in the future.

I’m right with you. I really want a complete ground up remake of RE1. I’d love to fully explore the Spencer Mansion and the surrounding grounds.
And a Code Veronica remake would be awesome since it’s the only mainline RE game I’ve never played.
Although a RE0 remake would be pretty cool. I only played it once, but I remember enjoying it and how it looped around RE1’s storyline. Similar to how RE2 and RE3 kind of took place at the same time but from different perspectives.

Thursday is taking forever. I haven’t replayed this since it was on GameCube. Very much looking forward to this.

Yeah his rogue one scene and his first encounter with Obi Wan in Obi Wan were pure monster movie type stuff.
Although he had the same vibes in Fallen Order.
Really this just shows how much good Vader we’ve gotten in recent years. That’s how Vader works best imo. As an unstoppable nightmare.

I get that reference

Fun fact, that’s over 46,000 years worth of play time

It was even worse then that. My roommate and I were big into rock band. Had a concert sized sound system for it in the shop. Both rock band and guitar hero were doing a yearly release yeah, but then also doing song packs and band packs every other week almost at one point. AND releasing them on physical disc. Before we stopped we had litterely dozens of discs for different songs and bands. They just never stopped coming out. People can only handle buying so much for 1 game.

You’re missing my point. I want a MODERN remake that plays like the MODERN remakes. The remake was 21 years ago. There’s nothing excessive about it lol it wasn’t remade 5 years ago or even 10. There’s original games that aren’t that old that have remakes now. I want to explore that mansion in all its shiny new glory. I know I’m not alone in that.

That was 21 years ago! I’m talking a modern remake in the vain of RE2 Remake. Fully 3D, 3rd person over the shoulder.
Yes the 2002 one was technically a remake. But it was made to look and feel more like a remaster. They kept the same camera angles, fine tuned the tank controls to be smoother, but it still handled like garbage compared to modern controls.
