I never got around to playing it when it was first released. But my gf at the time LOVED it. Always told me I needed to give it a go. The floaty controls threw me off at the time. Since then I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. So I’ll have to give it a go this time.

While it’s a great game for sure. My game of the generation pick has to be either Witcher 3 or God of War. Leaning towards Witcher 3 simply because it set a new standard for open world games.
Although GoW immersion level with the no cut/one shot thing is next level in and of itself. . . Things to ponder
Not comparable. Frankly, NO games sidequests compare to Witcher 3. So many memorable sidequests I can think of right away. I’m honestly having a hard time thinking of any game that comes close. RDR2 has a few but they don’t just pop out to me. I actually have to think about it.

It’s decent. As someone who doesn’t usually play games like this. It’s pretty hard. My only gripe would be that it takes way too long to get upgrades that make the game playable. The first dozen hours at minimum you are constantly not able to do a job or task because you simply don’t have the right equipment for it. I get it’s a sim game. But more money per job or more easily accessible upgrades would go a long way.

Luckily this developer is pretty good about updates. Friday the 13th got some much needed updates pretty quickly after launch and they kept taking in fan feedback and updating the game further. I would hope they will do the same here.

I bought day one and only had 2 crashes. A little frame issues here or there. First couple patches came quick and fixed all the bugs for me. I heard some people experienced a bunch though. But that wasn’t my experience.
Loved this game. It is formulaic for sure. It doesn’t really do anything new. But it does everything well and the hordes are a blast to deal with. Very good foundation for a great sequel.
Dying light is a blast. Dark souls is great (if you enjoy the souls genre)
I remember the wait times to get into a match when Friday the 13th released. Months before everything was finally running properly. Same developers. I’m sure they will get it sorted before too long.
Prob my favorite PS4 exclusive this gen. And second favorite game of the entire gen. I’ve beat it all the way through at least 8 times. Prob a couple more. Hard to believe it’s only been two years.

I don’t think so. I would personally rather have a remake of RE:CV, RE1(I think the remaster is fine but would love a full remake), RE0 or Dino crisis.
But I mean, if they do a FULL remake and don’t leave out a bunch of stuff. I’ll buy it and probably enjoy the hell out of it.
I would disagree. I thought it was a good game. A lil too short. But still a good game. I had a blast with it for a couple playthroughs
I didn’t mean to my first playthrough. I heard it was short, but I was assuming 7-9 hrs so I was just trying to move and unlock some new weapons before I slowed down a bit. And before I knew it I was out of the sewers. Second playthrough I explored more and still beat it in around 3.
It kind of perfected that whole combat system though. It was THE game all the other games took inspiration from. So can you fault the first ones to do it that other people took what they did and ran with it?
