You also have to wonder how many of those are repurchases with so many different chipsets. Also Microsoft has always kept the price advantage when it came to HD consoles. It certainly says something if ps3 is doing this well considering xbox360 is a cheaper alternative.
PC advantages are more on the stability and server side of things. Not to mention the 64 player count/increased frame rates/ better AA. If you've been playing Battlefield for awhile the slight difference in graphics shouldn't deter you from purchasing it on consoles.
You absolutely right. Since they are both exclusive to their respective platform, I would say that TPS's in general have won over critics.

As if we need any other incentive to purchase Uncharted 3 after seeing the desert gameplay. Game is absolutely phenomenal. I'm seriously enjoying the multiplayer, which has alot more complexity than the previous version. Thank you, Incognito, for bringing the sequel wonderful Warhawk
I feel bad for Resistance though I will pick it up when it drops to $40 but I've been waiting on this since Warhawk released on PSN. It's absolutely a Day1 purchase for me. I actually think this is why you should space out your sequels over a couple of years.

Then Sony this year has 23% market share compared to Microsoft's 20%. Microsoft may need to introduce a new system if they want to remain relevant in the coming years. If they drag this out until 2014 (expected year) then I can't see them keeping that 2nd place.
feel a need to when they see constant article with "...Ps3 loses this holiday season...". But they fail to mention that it's only America that they're implying this about. Yet when we see numbers like these, there are no articles to be found. PS3 outsold 360 27.5:1 yet there is no mentioning of it outside of mediacreate hardware numbers.
these numbers are to be believed, then good job HD systems. Looks like ps3 price cut made a bigger splash in America than most people thought it would. While the 360 is still doing strong numbers in it's homeland. abroad (excluding UK) it seems to be struggling. Gears of War 3 exclusive xbox360 is drop dead gorgeous. Console religion aside, I don't think anyone could deny how sexy that thing looks.
Was a prominent xbox360 supporter. But like many closed platforms, the yellow tape eventually pops up. Steam on PSN seems to cut out the middle man between the devs and consumers. I don't expect it to be too long before EA announces some kind of Origins on PSN deal.

Microsoft didn't start covering RRODs until late 2006 after they were slapped with a fat lawsuit. In between that time people had no other choice but to repurchase another 360. I'm living proof of this. RROD was not covered in anyone's warranty. Since it was the only Next gen system available at the time you didn't really have a choice. When I say games, I mean exclusives.

That you're an avid COD supporter. I was once like you when Call of Duty 4 came out. Infinity Ward were one of the few developers who actually had an independent team specifically for ps3 development. My problem is this engine has yet to be updated while still running @ SUB-HD resolutions. They don't feel the need to upgrade either simply because they know people like you are going to purchase anything that has COD on it. As a gamer, you should expect more and not settle for less.
One would think that "end of the year" would imply Oct/Nov/Dec. It's not too long of a wait though.

I'm going to have to disagree with you hard there. I still play BF:BC2 til this day and have no problem communicating with my squad mates. To debunk your theory on mics, PS3 has allowed you to use "ANY" bluetooth Headset to communicate on ps3 since day one. I also do recall them bundling a headset with the Blu-ray purchase of Warhawk. As oppose to Microsoft's limited, proprietary headset.
Crunching the numbers using data from VGchartz/MediaCreate (assuming VGChartz accurate), in the EU/JP Sony outsold Microsoft by 620k. So take the 620k and add it to the ~939k,
Microsoft is still abot 150k ahead. But remember, there isn't anyone tracking number from places like Saudi Arabia/Africa/South America/ China. Take the facts and draw your own conclusion. We won't know until Sony releases there Q1 numbers.
