Gamefly doesn't need direct access to your system. If you've read any of my messages you'd know I'm not a proponent of Xbox One. The facts are, once the disc is installing on another drive, it is then removed from the original account.Remember Xbox One checks in, aka syncs, every 24 hours. This is mandatory to check your inventory to see if a games has been added. If there is such a discrepancy, I would hope they allow you to tag the game as stolen. This would end up making t...

would just purchase multiple copies of the game and link it to their account. It would pretty much function as it does now. When someone rents the game, it will remove it from Gamefly's account and add the user's. Once the disc is sent back, it will be removed from the user's account and added back to Gamefly's. Gamefly will have to keep an Xbox:ONE on at all times though and connected to the internet.

Ha are you kidding me? The masses will buy whatever their friends have. Ps3 and xbox360 are not neck and neck. Ps3 hardware WW are @ 80.4 million and xbox360 77.2 million. 3.2 million difference isn't close at all. Especially considering Microsofts headstart. Hard cores buy your systems at launch not casuals. Most hardcore xbox i hear are talking about making the switch after that obismal reveal. Anyone thinking Xbox one can still be considered a viable gaming system should leave this dis...

is referring to actual facts. Nintendo didn't block used games and they still receive support from the 3rd party community, including EA. If you think that any 3rd party developer is going to skip on the ps4 this day in age, you're insane. Xbox 1 was built for America only and an older version of it. Not many people still watch live TV on cable. Microsoft doesn't really compete in Europe either.

the author is free to express his opinion, just like you're free to disagree with it. People are thinking 3rd party isn't going to support Sony if they don't block used games. Some not all third party developers are supporting Wii U even though there is no blocking used games. PS4, just like the Wii U, doesn't require an internet connection to play games.

Things we know:
*PS4 doesn't need an internet connection to function
*PS4 doesn't ...

"...The one thing that is amazing to me is that right now we're not hearing a lot from the game publishers about what their view is on this. The console companies are becoming the bad guys. And, you know, Microsoft is getting beaten up a lot on it. Sony, I think, has been seen as this kind of white knight so far that's not going to restrict used games. Based on some of the things I'm hearing, I don't think that's entirely true, because I can't see publishers allow...

kinda starting to annoy me with this "I'm neutral" BS. It has been posted in countless article already that Sony will not block used games.

"Shuhei Yoshida: Oh yes, yes, you can go offline totally. Social is big for us, but we understand there are some people who are anti-social! So if you don't want to connect to anyone else, you can do that."

Why would Sony make the disc read speed 6x faster if you're just going to install it to the HDD. Also, I don't recall requiring mandatory installs. There is actually no mentioning of PS4 forcing your to install your games to your HDD.

really @Convas? maybe not the 4D. But gran Turismo 5 was 1080p/60fps. I don't want to hear this bull about it being only 1280x1080.
It's anamorphic:
1920x1080 is sometimes broadcast as 1440x1080, 1280x1080 or the worst I've seen 960x1080 (). It's just a way of saving bandwidth, the same as on DVDs and SD DTV, because horizontal resolution is less noticable, so the pixels are made "wider" to compensate.

They had to save on bandwidth s...

That should be an "if" not "when", in your last sentence. People are assuming Sony's is going to follow Microsoft for some reason when it comes to used games and DRM. Nintendo jumped from #130 to #40 after Microsoft's reveal on Amazon. Unless PS4 is requires a connection every 24 hours or mandatory game installs, then i don't see how they can enforce it.

just wanted to point out that the RSX held back ps3 significantly. The CELL was performing basic geometric rendering to lighten the workload of the RSX. Mark Cerny said the people who've gained experience programming for the CELL will be able to do that with PS4 (low-level GPU access). He said this is where developer can really push ps4. They have sort of a tier system for programming by having an entry, intermediate, and advanced.

I don't get here people keep saying...

DCUO/DUST514/Warhawk were all always online. Xbox One is requiring you to install the game. I don't think Sony ever mentioned a mandatory install for games. In other words, what method would Sony use to verify the game? Another reason why is because you can play games without an internet connection. This is opposed to XBOX ONE where you have to register it first before you can intall and then play it.

get's mad at you, she'd usually have to bust up the entire console to break it. Now with Xbox One, she's only has to aim for the Kinect sensor lol.

OT: I honestly feel that if Microsoft shows some compelling games that they might become square with their core audience. You must hit the bottom before you can rise. I feel like as gamers, it's our duty to help them reach the bottom. Sony received this message loud and clear after the quote: "The next generat...

I doubt Sony will continue with this especially given the backlash. The key thing is Sony isn't forcing installs of their games. People don't realize that Sony and Microsoft both publish games too. I buy new anyway so all of this doesn't really affect me. I'm rather have ps4 given the lack of titles on the competitor's system. Guarantee Microsoft's going to trump out some kind of Dance Central using the next gen kinect.
