When he says recognition he just wants to focus on how well it sells on the Xbox One. Many here seem to enjoy the whole console comparison.

The Switch came out later. They also don't have the same type of third party support so they kind of have to have more trials. Switch is also portable so some may double dip.

The Wii U did not reach many people and some of those games deserve a second chance which is why we will see more ports from that system.

That's the thing, right now it's not hurting them but at the same time how can Sony come out and say its helping them? They can't and that is why they don't really answer.

The start of next generation they would be smart to change but they seem to be catering to the most diehard fans right now who are trying to answer on their behalf.

"Question is, why should the industry move on by leaving people behind, when they can move on and still provide for everyone's needs. There is no real reason for digital to completely replace physical. It's just the publishers want to make those few extra pennies, and control their own markets. Moving on is more about business than actual advancement, and it's funny how many people seem perfectly content with less choice, and more control."

"I would however like to know how physical media is going to adapt to the growing file sizes for the sake of retail distribution."

Seems to not be a huge issue on the PC. Plus as streaming becomes better there's that option as well. I do admit 2022 seems rather bold.

One thing to remind yourself is how much digital has been adopted over the years. Plus with services like Game Pass and Electronic Arts getting involved more into it's online s...

"Yes because music and video games are so alike
I love that song/album which is 50GB to download /s"

All of the console providers sell those games digitally and sales show that those numbers are increasing. We are also seeing more streaming services come online which will be coming from Electronic Arts and Microsoft. We have also seen services like Game Pass grow. We also see MMO games played by many millions of people. Plus the PC is p...

The Xbox One reversed its plans to do a DRM system that required a online check in every 24 hours. You know the one where Sony capitalized on with how to share used games even though they too had similar plans.

Only to now be doing the exact opposite and adding their own DRM system in place on Fortnite a...

"Know what I find very interesting? The fact that you conveniently left out that you can also stream netflix in standard def at 0.3gb and 0.7gb per hour (which I assure you many people including myself do). When someone has to lie or tell half truths to make a point it usually means they know their argument is weak. My point still stands, many people have ZERO interest in an all digital future."

These interviews are putting them on the spot and I can see how they are trying to reiterate it's not thousands of people online but rather dozens and dozens. Which to me is not the answer I'm looking for because he never flat out said there would be no griefers online.

It could be fun like you said so we will see. What it boils down to is I actually don't mind playing online as it can be very fun but the problem is many play online with no intentions of playing...

First he says Sony is ambitious for their efforts like Helldivers and how cool it was to go from portable to PlayStation, then he makes a long argument why Sony isn't being arrogant about it by saying this is only a few games and not many want it.

The guy just said how he really liked it on Helldivers??? Another weak ass excuse and he just gets back to the same BS we've heard far too many times already.

We are seeing the same cockiness we saw from Sony be...

A lot of Fallout fans like myself like the immersion of playing alone and don't like the idea of other people in my game because let's face it, lots of people online are grievers. So while I respect they can make any game they want to and it might end up being very good with friends or those who enjoy PVP games it's not for me.

To be fair we just had a Fallout game, Fallout 4 so it's not like we really have much to complain about. With that said I will look forw...

What they should have done is go to the source. Ask Hideo Kojima some real questions instead of treating him like he's untouchable. Nobody ever asks him the hard questions.

Battlefield which is Call of Duty's main competitor does have a single player mode so I don't really understand the topic. I guess the argument being made is Battlefield single player mode is not all that deep.

Not really sad given how the attitude around here hasn't really changed all that much has it? We still have the same group of members carrying on and on protecting their plastic toys. That's whats sad.

It's true, the Xbox is on life support in Japan but we as gamers should be more supportive. Phil Spencer has made some trips to Japan and this years E3 has shown the Xbox One is getting more support from third party, including Japanese studios.

"The average song is about 3mb large. The average video game is about 50gb large. If you don't see the difference there and why it would be a problem for many people you have a mental issue. "

The average use of watching video on Netflix is 3GB per hour for high def and 7GB per hour for ultra high def. Perhaps you can ask them how many customers they have with mental issues.

I take it this is your way of admitting you have no idea how the industry works.

I'm sure the same people were saying that 10 years ago with music. The industry will continue to push forward with or without you.

I guess you weren't around when Sony mandated every game that came out later to have some sort of exclusive content attached to it on the PS3. I guess we only use the past if it favors our preferred platform.

I would expect a game that came out a year later to try and offer something to help sell. As a PS4 owner I am finding it disgusting the attitude here towards everything that isn't favoring the PS4.
